History of Oktoberfest
Nowadays Oktoberfest is known as one of the biggest folk festivals in the world, but did you know that it’s also one of the oldest? Dating back to 1810, Oktoberfest was originally a folk event and horse race held to celebrate the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
