"Unbearably hot and came away covered in bites"
Terrible experience, booked a double and was allocated two singles then had the hassle of changing rooms. We then had two single bed push together and not the premier inn bed you expect and is advertised in the room! Room was INCREDIBLY hot (mid 30s), one fan was provided and did very little, we barely slept. Reception aircon was freezing so weird priority. There were some mites or fleas in the room, I woke up covered in bites and could see mites moving on my phone screen when I picked up my phone from the bed - yuck. There was no one at reception when we checked out to speak to. Overall a fairly horrific experience.
"Parking issue - please take care - you might get caught as I did"
This is a 2 star review based purely on the parking contract at this site - I had no problem with the hotel facilities or food service within the building. Using the website information and on what we experienced, you will hopefully be cautious when parking there until such time as they have a Vehicle Registration Terminal installed in the hotel. Situation: We arrived to check-in on the Friday afternoon prior to a trip to a show in London. The website clearly says £8 parking fee for a 24 hour period [see photo] and having asked when to pay, was told by Reception "to pay when you leave". We were checked on site by Horizon Parking for just 19 minutes before departing at 15.06 and returning at 00.04 midnight to complete our stay of less than 24 hours. With a meeting at 09.00 in the morning I was actually off-site at 08.22 having paid at the machine as originally directed and in return received a receipt through to 00.19 on 11th May? Does this therefore suggest that Reception got it wrong and that I should have paid upon arrival for a 24 hour period? I subsequently received a parking fine notification from Horizon claiming £57 for the original 19 minutes on site. Clearly this generated an appeal however it was rejected, but at the same time Horizon dropped the fee to £8 "in good faith" - almost as if for a separate 24 hour period. An early approach to the hotel itself about the fine got absolutely no support - in one of the two calls the receptionist said "It's not our land" - well that's wrong and an email to P. Inn Guest Relations brought the response of "I do apologise .... please contact the hotel direct who will help you" Er No. they simply didn't. I have paid the additional £8 to close this situation, but am bitterly disappointed by Premier Inn because I have used them numerous times across the years for both business and pleasure without a problem - unfortunately this incident with no support says "Thanks but No Thanks Premier Inn if that's the best you can now give - custom lost and all it needed was your input to resolve"
      "Premier Inn Springfield Cheltenham."
3rd time we have used Premier Inn Springfield. Its very convenient for visiting RHS Hyde Hall being only 9 miles away. Comfortable Rooms and a handy Restaurant on sight ... The Meal Deal great value "all you can eat breakfast and the Evening Meal ... 2 courses plus a drink" Very friendly staff helps too.
      "Best Avoided"
This is a seriously tired old place situated hard up against the A12 trunk road and surrounded by a truckers lorry park. The allocated room less than clean. Very poorly lit. Very noisy. The bathroom was at best grubby and in dire need of retiling and a coat of paint. A far way short of the usual Premier Inn accommodation standards. Oh and the bed was on stilts .... anyone under 5' 6" tall would likely need a ladder. We didn't stay. Took a shower and left.
      "Not Good"
The bathroom was terrible. The bath was old with chips and stains all over. The tiles were stained and chipped and discoloured. The sliding door was barely functional, unpainted wood with paint marks in various places. The tap would spray water up towards you if not careful. One of the worst I've seen.
