Southampton City Centre hotel

Good location with close proximity to city centre for a night out. Receptionist was professional. The parking situation is a bit of a mess though with extremely limited spaces that are about £18 for 24hrs. There was no aircon as well in the middle of a heatwave, just has some fans that were blowing hot air at us through out the night. Overall 6/10 I'd say

Had a fantastic stay at southampton city centre premier inn. Yes they have no air conditioning but still provided with 3 fans by them. Room as expected clean and tidy and what you expect from a premier inn. Excellent customer service from Jack upon arrival and again on the bar where we went for Happy Hour drinks in a stunning restaurant overlooking southampton. Wouldn't hesitate staying here again in the future. Thank you to Jack and his team at Southampton City Centre Premier Inn. Look forward to seeing you all again soon.

The room was ridiculously hot (think of a sauna type temperature). They provided 3 fans but made little difference. There was a space in the ceiling where air conditioning once was there. The room itself was fairly dated but clean & the staff were helpful & polite. I would consider staying there again in the winter. The other thing to watch out for is that we had to pay £14 (only parking option) to park for 30 minutes whilst waiting to check in (you only get 10 minutes waiting time). We just wanted to drop our cases off & check in before taking our car to one of the long stay car parks.

No air conditioning and very hot despite 3 noisy fans. Very grubby needs refurbishment. Not clean. Dont stay here unless you have to. Good location for the cruise port and easy for taxi rides. Needed to wait 15 minutes for veggie sausages and veggie bacon at breakfast and when they came only the sausages were edible and there were no fried eggs available another 15minute wait! They were helpful storing our cases and the lady at reception was friendly but wouldnt go back.

I would highly recommend NOT staying in this hotel! Rude staff - went to reception to ask if we can change to another premier inn as the only walkway to the shop is an underpass / alley walk there was drunk drug*ed up people laid on the stairs and across the floor this was at 9am the manager on the front desk responded with your home town is worse (reading from my address) this is absolutely not acceptable!! When I asked this evening for his name the current manager on the desk would not give me his name. Very large rats running around the bin and inside the bin next to the front doors to the hotel! Seen two of them scrumming around the top of the bin. Large gashes in the hotel room walls, pieces of plaster off the walls dropped onto the floor, dirty toilet and plaster which has been slapped on the wall to cover holes.
