Previously Birmingham Central Technical College, the university now specialises in engineering, science and medicine, but also has a great reputation on the sports field. Located in the heart of Birmingham city centre and set in 60 acres, complete with lake, fountain and sculptures, at this university you’ve definitely got plenty of space to work, relax and play.

Top tip

Unwind, relax and enjoy a swim in Birmingham’s oldest working swimming pool. The pool at The Sir Doug Ellis Woodcock Sports Centre was built in 1902 and is a unique and beautiful spot for a swim.

Getting there

Aston University’s city centre campus has plenty of transport options. If you’re arriving at Birmingham International Airport, head to the station and hop on a train to New Street. In under 10 minutes you’ll be in the city centre with a 15 minute walk to the campus.
