While Tamworth has an enviable history, including one of the best-preserved Medieval motte-and-bailey castles, it’s the modern elements that provide some of the best activities and entertainment. The Snowdome is the UK’s first ever indoor snow centre and the perfect place to learn how to ski or perfect your snowboarding moves, while Drayton Manor Park is one of the UK’s best theme parks and zoos. There’s plenty to enjoy from a history and culture point of view as well, with the town-centre Tamworth Castle, the 11th-century Middleton Hall and the 600-acre Kingsbury Park all amongst the must-visit attractions in the area. Handily, our Tamworth hotels are in the heart of the action, a short walk or drive away. With a buzzing nightlife scene spanning stylish bars, historic pubs and several clubs, and an eating-out scene including an array of cafés, bistros and restaurants, there’s plenty to explore in this historic Midlands’ town that’s a winning blend of history and modernity.
