"A rather nice Premier Inn"
One of the better ones I've stayed in. Parking included, a large car park as well -- with a few shaded areas which was useful as we stayed in one of the major heatwaves of 2026.
Stayed on a Monday night, out of the holiday season for £120 BnB in a Plus room.
The hotel itself was a good one of its kind. A bit of air con and a fully stocked room, no lift though. Only two short flights of stairs to walk up however. Everywhere clean and the team working there were great.
The pub next door was pretty good. Nice range of beers etc and the food looked pretty good. Breakfast there in the morning was really good,
A short (20 minute) walk into the town centre with its good selection of pubs, shops, cafes etc. The castle was sadly shut when we were there. but that looks worth a look. Stunning park area with playgrounds for the kids and lovely places to sit and watch the world go by.
I'd stay there again as it's a good halfway point from where we live to the Southwest of the UK.

"Premiere inn Tamworth"
The location is great as shops and parks all on walking distance staff r lovely and friendly and rooms r nice as always only down side is we had a family room but hasn't got air con so was always hot in the room even at night time even though they have a fan in the room but only circulated the hot air round the room

"Hotel ok but don,t expect too much from the meals."
I booked a room for 2 days for my wife and myself. When the invoice arrived I noticed that there were two prices for the stay, one was approx 50% larger than the other. I raised this with the reception staff who advised that they could not clarify this matter as the prices they had were different from the prices used by agents or Premier on-line. This was far from satisfactory. We were then advised that all meals were to be taken at the Beefeater next door. However, the evening meal comprised a starter, beef lasagne and a sweet. There was no other choice as the ovens had broken down. The next day we popped in for a sandwich at lunchtime only to be told they only had only two staff on duty and unless we had booked, they would not serve us lunch. The hot breakfasst should be avoided at all costs - fried eggs over cooked and hard, and Black Pudding requires a hammer and chisel to break it up. If you are going to use a third party for meals you must at least ensure they and their equipment are suitable for the hotel requirements.

"Great hotel facilities… poor Beefeater service…"
Good hotel facilities, accessible room scored a 7/10, quite a long distance to walk to get to the room, low bed, suggest risers to help, location of shower gel not good for people with low mobility.
