Step out of the airport and hop onto the Flying Tiger bus. Service 757 takes around 30 minutes, drops you at the bus station right in the centre of town and has free WiFi and charging points. Expect to pay around £6 for a return, and about £4 for a single.
Four national hire car services operate from the airport’s dedicated Car Rental Centre. To get there, take the free shuttle bus just opposite the Arrow Cars cabin. Make sure you tell the driver where you want to get off - it’s the first stop, so won’t take long.
Outside International Arrivals you’ll find the Arrow Cars cabin - they’re the official airport taxi company and the only cars able to pick you up from the terminal forecourt. A single fare to the city centre costs about £25. You can book one in advance by calling 0113 258 5888.
