"Avoid booking this hotel"
I've stayed with Premier Inn many times over the years, both for personal trips and business travel, averaging around four stays a year. I've always found the rooms comfortable, clean, and good value, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
Unfortunately, this stay was well below the standard I've come to expect. The power sockets in the room weren't working properly, the hot water temperature was inconsistent, and there was a creaky floorboard outside my room that made a loud noise every time someone walked past. As I had an early flight the following morning, I was relying on my phone for alarms and travel documents, so the faulty sockets and disturbed sleep caused unnecessary stress and anxiety.
I contacted Premier Inn after my stay, expecting them to acknowledge the seriousness of the issues and offer a reasonable resolution. Instead, I was simply told that because I hadn't reported the problems before checking out, they were unable to offer any refund and that my comments would be passed on to hotel management.
While I understand hotels prefer issues to be reported at the time, I don't believe that should completely remove any responsibility when genuine faults affected the quality of the stay. As a long-standing, loyal customer who has never previously needed to complain, I expected much better customer service.

"Comfy quiet nights sleep"
Was disappointed to see scaffolding that looked like it was all round the hotel on arrival. However…. It was just the restaurant that was being renovated and it didnt affect the sleep quality atall.
Reception staff helpful.. bed comfy… shower good.. very quiet.. all you needed the night before a flight.
Would recommend.

"Disappointing stay and disappointing customer service"
We chose this Premier Inn because of its convenient location near Leeds Bradford Airport. We had a 3am wake-up for an early flight and specifically booked Premier Inn because of its reputation for providing a good night's sleep.
Unfortunately, the noise from the room above was constant throughout the night. Every footstep and movement could be heard, and the lack of soundproofing meant that none of us slept properly. Our 10-year-old was also kept awake, making the start of our trip stressful and exhausting.
What has disappointed me just as much is how Premier Inn has handled the complaint. I contacted customer services afterwards, explaining what had happened. Rather than acknowledging that we had paid for a night's sleep and didn't receive one, they repeatedly focused on the fact that I hadn't reported the issue during the night.
As a parent travelling with a 10-year-old child and facing a 3am start, I wasn't prepared to leave my child alone in the room to go to reception, nor did I think it was reasonable to wake my family further to move rooms in the middle of the night. Despite explaining this, Premier Inn refused to offer any goodwill gesture or compensation and simply relied on their policy that issues should be reported during the stay.
The location is okay for the airport (£16 in a taxi), but our experience fell well below the standard Premier Inn advertises. What's most disappointing is that the company appeared more interested in quoting policy than recognising the poor experience we had. Based on both the stay and the way our complaint was handled, I wouldn't choose this hotel again before an early flight.
