How do I make a booking?

You'll always get our lowest prices when you book online. To make a booking, simply select ‘Book a hotel’ or 'Home'. From either of these pages you'll be able to check the availability in any Premier Inn, all you need to enter is the location, dates you'd like to stay, number of guests and your room preferences. We'll then show you all hotels in that location or nearby with availability for your chosen dates.

If you’re not sure which Premier Inn is right for you, simply select ‘Book a hotel’ and use the ‘Find a hotel’ option to search for the Premier Inn that’s closest to your destination. Search results are shown on the map, to view as a list select ‘List view’ from the top of the map.

I’ve made a booking online but I haven’t received my email confirmation. What should I do?

Sorry, but you seem to have encountered a technical problem. We apologise for the inconvenience – please call Central Reservations on 0871 527 9230* for assistance. Central Reservations are open from 8am – 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9am - 10pm on Sundays.

Can I check that my booking has been made?

Yes - You can use your booking reference to view your booking, to do this select the ‘View or Cancel booking’ option located in the top right hand corner of the website.

The easiest way to manage your bookings is with My Premier Inn - why not register today? If you are already registered, simply login to view your booking.

How far in advance can I book?

You can make bookings up to 12 months in advance.

What if there are no rooms available at my chosen Premier Inn?

You'll be given an alternative choice of Premier Inn hotels with availability nearby, click on any of the hotels listed for more information or to make a booking.

How do I know if my booking has been confirmed?

When you make a booking you’ll be given a booking reference; we’ll include this reference in your confirmation email too.

You can use your booking reference to view your booking, to do this select the ‘View or Cancel booking’ option located in the top right hand corner of the website.

Help! I haven’t got a booking reference number!

You may not have a booking reference due to -

a) a technical problem
b) you have forgotten or mislaid it.

What is the booking reference/cancellation number for?

The booking reference number is confirmation of your booking. Please make a note of this number; you can then quote this over the phone if you need to make any amendments. You can also use it to check or cancel your booking online.

The cancellation number is confirmation that your booking has been cancelled.

Do I have to give you my payment card details to confirm my booking?

We'll need your card details to guarantee your booking. But don't worry - all details are stored securely and we won't charge you for cancellations providing they're made before 1pm on the day you're due to arrive.

Please note: we normally only ask for your payment card details so that we can guarantee your booking, you will be asked to pay for your stay on arrival and may pay with a different card if you wish.

Cancellations made after 1pm will result in the full amount per room for the first night only being charged to your card.

Can I make a group booking?

Of course - if you want to book five rooms or more, please use our Group Bookings service.

How many people do family rooms accommodate?

Most Premier Inns have family rooms that can accommodate a family consisting of up to two adults and two children (aged 15 and under), in a spacious, family sized room.

Premier Inn can provide cots at no extra charge.

Please note that family rooms are not available at a few hotels including Basildon (East Mayne) and Northampton West (Harpole). Where family rooms are not available, a second room for up to two children aged 15 and under will cost 50% of the normal room rate at the weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights). To book this second room for 50% customers will need to contact the chosen hotel directly. This cannot be booked online.

Why can't I book a room for 3 adults or more?

Premier Inn’s policy does not allow more than 2 adults to a room therefore you will need to book two rooms or more if you have three or more adults in your party.

At Premier Inn guests aged 16 years and above are classed as adults.

How do I book a stay for more than 9 nights?

Bookings for more than 9 nights cannot be made online.

Please call our Central Reservations team on 0871 527 9231* to make your booking. Central Reservations are open from 8am – 10pm Monday to Saturday and 9am - 10pm on Sundays.

Is my booking guaranteed?

Your Credit Card, Debit Card or Premier Inn Business Account details provided at the time of booking guarantee your booking.

If you are already registered for My Premier Inn, simply login to view your booking.

The Premier Inn I want to book has no availability, can I join a waiting list?

Unfortunately as we work on a live system where guests can book rooms online, through our Customer Contact Centre and through the hotel direct, we are unable to offer any form of waiting list.

I want to make a booking for 1 night but your system only has availability if I select to stay longer, why is that?

The reason you are unable to book for the date(s) required is due to limited availability. A small number of rooms are held for those guests who wish to stay for a longer duration and at present these are the only rooms available.

Can I use my Emerald or Whitbread Privilege card at any hotel?

Emerald and Whitbread Privilege cards can be used at most Premier Inn hotels with the exception of our franchise hotels.

The hotels that do not accept Emerald and Whitbread Privilege cards are listed below
