Pubs

The Colebrook is a nice, big Ember Inn pub with a good selection of draught beers. Plus, if you’re struggling with a case of the Monday blues, head down for their Monday Cask Club, where all cask ales are £2.49. They have a range of other great offers throughout the week too, whether your tipple of choice is wine, gin, cocktails or a bit of fizz. They also serve up some good pub grub, particularly on a Sunday when you can get a two-course roast for less than a tenner.

Alternatively, if you’re staying at our Solihull Town Centre hotel, you’ll be better off going to The Fieldhouse. It’s another Ember Inn, so it’s cut from the same cloth as The Colebrook. It’s just a closer, more convenient option.

The Mason’s Arms on the High Street is a good, old-fashioned 19th century pub with a top selection of cask ales. It used to be a bit dated but following a recent refurbishment, it’s now an all-around great place to grab a drink and has much better food options too. It’s particularly good if you’re looking for somewhere to watch the sport, as their big screens are always tuned into the football, international rugby or major sporting events like the Grand National and Wimbledon.

Bars

One of the favourite places to go for an after-dinner drink – or a fancy night on the cocktails – is Flave Cocktail & Gin Lounge near Touchwood. It’s got a 1920s theme, so you can expect Great Gatsby-esque decor and an extravagant array of beverages to choose from. If you don’t have any particular preference, then you can always ask their expert mixologists for a recommendation, whether it’s old classics or their own creative concoctions from the impressive selection of top-shelf tipples.

There are other options but if you simply want a night out with cheap drinks, chart music and a late-night licence then you can always make your way to Missoula or Revolution. They’re both in Solihull town centre and offer affordable food and drinks deals during the day, but it’s at night when they really come alive.

Clubs

Look no further than Luna if you’re in the mood for clubbing. It’s right next door to Missoula, so you can start your night off there with some 2-for-1 deals before stumbling into Luna to sample its two separate dance floors. They play everything from funk, soul and disco from the 60s through to the early 80s, classic 90s RnB and all the latest chart hits.
