Norwich’s Chapelfield shopping centre dominates the south-west of the city and sits right on the main road, so even if you’re staying on the other side of the city at our Norwich East (Broadlands/A47) hotel, you’re still barely more than a 15-minute drive away from a shopping spree of stupendous proportions. Plus, there’s a multi-storey 1,000-space car park, so guests can drive practically door to door from any of our Norwich hotels to the city’s main retail hub.
The shopping centre itself occupies the former Nestlé chocolate factory and now offers more than half a million square feet of retail space that houses over 100 shops, restaurants and cafés. The range of retailers on offer covers pretty much everything you might be shopping for, including high street fashion brands, such as H&M, River Island and Zara, along with popular designer labels like Levi’s, Timberland, Hollister, Ann Summers, a flagship three-floor House of Fraser, and an Apple Store.
With so many retailers for you to choose from, you really can shop until you drop. Stroll from one store to another and piece together a new outfit to add to your wardrobe before you sample some of the famous Norwich nightlife. So much shopping can really take it out of you, so if you want to grab something to eat, head to The Dining Terrace on the third floor. Here, you’ll find all manner of popular fast-food options like Wagamama, Yo! Sushi, Carluccio’s, Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, KFC, and Byron Burger.
Alternatively, you can head to one of Chapelfield’s cafés for a hot drink, or to top up your sugar levels with a lovely slice of cake. You can choose from Shaake, Pret A Manger, Millie’s Cookies, Krispy Kreme, Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero, or the ubiquitous Starbucks.
You can come to Chapelfield Norwich seven days a week. From Monday to Wednesday, stores are open from 9am to 6pm. Thursday offers late night shopping until 8pm, while they open to 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and if you want some Sunday retail therapy, you’ll find Chapelfield open from 11am to 5pm.
