Norwich East (Broadlands/A47) hotel

Stayed at the hotel for two nights during a heatwave. The staff were excellent on the front desk and were assist with all our queries. However I was a little disappointed to find that the rooms themselves are like ovens. No air conditioning whatsoever, you are however provided with really loud fans which do provide some rest bite from the unbearable heat. The biggest disappointment was dinner and breakfast services. Walked down for food around 6, albeit without a booking. They said they didn't have room for us, it was pretty baron, hardly any tables occupied. Made to wait an hour, which we obliged. Time came and we were shown a table, ordinarily you have someone take your order, multiple tables were in the same situation waiting 20 minutes to be served. Invariably everyone got up and went to the bar to order food. Food having now been ordered, the slowest service possible was experienced. Waited over an hour for our food to finally arrive. Breakfast was reasonable however, was quite shocked that if you wanted something else other than fried eggs you had to wait between 15-20 minutes as they had a backlog. Now this was 7:30 and about 5 tables worth of guests were seated. Not exactly full dining room, and yet they struggled to cook a number of scrambled eggs in that time? How is that possible, alongside restocking other food stuffs. I am under the impression that the food service part of the hotel is woefully understaffed. Now if you are only here for a place to stay and not eat at, this is absolutely a reasonable place especially for the price and close proximity to the broads. However, I do not recommend eating here or staying in the summer if you can't handle the heat. If you want to eat go across the road to the fieldfare.

The staff assistant (Donna) could not do enough for us. She went out of her way to assist in a friendly professional manner especially as she seemed overworked and under pressure. Well done to her Regards Russell and Suzanne Murty

My wife and I checked in late on the evening after a long car journey with our two young children. The gentleman on reception Azad was without doubt the best Premier Inn staff member I have come across. He was incredibly helpful, polite and friendly and even offered fresh jar of water with ice We have stayed in a number of Premier Inns over the years but this one will take some beating for the quality of service from the staff

Azad who welcomed us at reception couldn’t do enough to accommodate our needs, from a last minute room change to organising breakfast for our party of 11 to be seated together. The room was well equipped albeit we would have welcomed AC as the weather was very warm but the standard fan offered some relief.

I stayed couple weeks here but i received a parking ticket after I made a mistake with the registration. Azad at reception was amazing he helped me cancel the ticket He was calm professional and sorted it quickly. Really appreciated the help!
