Twelve years later, the official Newcastle United team was formed and in 1899 the first stadium was built. By car
With lots of car parks to choose from in Newcastle’s city centre, drive to Stowell Street or Eldon Square for the shortest walk to St James’ Park.
By bus
With Eldon Square bus station less than 10 minutes walk away, you can take your pick of bus routes to get to St James’ Park from any part of town.
By train
If you don’t want to walk, take the Metro. St James’ Park has its own station near the stadium’s entrance. The Central train station is just 15 minutes’ walk from St James’ Park.
