Located in the heart of town, and a two-minute walk from our Maidenhead Town Centre hotel, ODEON Luxe Maidenhead is the height of cinema luxury. As well as ten screens boasting Recliner seats with a table and extra leg-room, the modern complex has eight RealD 3D screens and its own Costa and Ben & Jerry’s outlets. The cinema is close to several bars and restaurants including Coco, Noodle Nation, Francesco’s and Pizza Hut.
Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is a cultural hub for the region and where you’ll find a lot of more leftfield and alternative film releases. The small but perfectly formed cinema, a mile to the west of Maidenhead near Altwood, screens new releases and modern classics as well as hosting themed-movie sessions. It also has an on-site bar and café. If you’re looking for something out of the Hollywood norm, and a break from the big cinema brands, this is the perfect choice.

Sport
The leading football town in the area is Maidenhead United F.C., a semi-professional team founded in 1870 who play their home games at the York Road ground in the centre of town. The team currently play in the National League, the fifth tier of the English football system and also have a youth and ladies team. The stadium has two nearby car parks, the Stripes Bar for pre- and post-game drinks plus a small club shop.
On the other side of the train tracks from Maidenhead United, you’ll find the next generation of Formula 1 drivers racing around the Absolutely Karting track. The indoor endurance track is open to adults and children over eight years old, with the 270cc karts capable of up to 45mph around the double level track. There are a range of packages available including late-night laps and the arrive-and-drive sessions.
On the other side of Maidenhead you’ll find Magnet Leisure Centre. The large centre includes an eight-lane swimming pool, spin studio, a gym plus tennis, netball and football facilities. The centre is open daily and is open to members and non-members alike.
Norden Farm Centre for the Arts
With over 150 events nearly 200,000 visitors each year, Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is the leading cultural site in Maidenhead. Housed in a converted 18th-century farm, the community-led space includes an art gallery, theatre, 280-capacity auditorium plus an excellent café. The site is open daily and covers a wide range of programming including musicals, comedy, live music, drama, family shows, spoken word events and more.
