High in the Peak District, the beautiful spa town of Buxton has been welcoming visitors with warm spring waters and wonderful attractions for centuries. The Regency town is a resplendent gateway to the Peak District National Park thanks to its impressive architecture and one of the finest Frank Matcham theatres in Britain. Stay with us at our Buxton hotel, and you can enjoy a great base for exploring the area, including jaw-dropping Poole’s Cavern, and eating your way around the town’s top restaurants. When you want to wet your whistle, perhaps after a leg-aching day around the Peaks, you can sample the world-class ales of the local Buxton Brewery. The truth is, your stay in Buxton can be as active or leisurely as you like. Simply soak up the views and see what you fancy.

Shopping
If you fancy a little retail therapy during your stay in Buxton, the town boasts brilliant options ranging from high-street fashion brands right the way through to excellent independents and boutiques. The Cavendish Arcade is Buxton’s historic shopping centre, located within the thermal baths. It’s great for independents and includes Charlotte’s Chocolates – one of our favourite places to eat in Buxton. The Springs Shopping Centre is another popular choice. It’s near the train station and home to familiar names such as Waitrose, JD Sports and New Look. The recently restored Hogshaw Mill is also home to The Arches Artisan Market that’s packed with brilliant crafts and gift ideas.
