Buxton hotel

This Premier Inn has a complicated way to switch lights on in the room and to keep the lights switched on. This was not explained to us at check in. We spent 5 minutes stumbling around trying to find a light switch before returning to front desk to get help. There is a complicated way to keep the lights on by having your key card in a slot. The parking is an additional fee which should have been included in the price of the room. It was not clear if you had to pay each time you drove car out of the hotel, or only once at the end of your stay. The accessible bathroom was good. The bed is low for a person in a wheelchair, but too low for a person with difficulty with their knees. There was no grab bar by the bed so one could pull themselves up. Rarely was there a staff member at the front desk if you needed assistance.

Very enjoyable stay, all the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was clean and had everything we required. A special shout out to the lovely Chloe who greeted us every morning with a smile and was so so helpful.

The room was clean and a good size! The staff were friendly, especially the woman on reception, unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she was amazing! I had a family room for two nights, unfortunately it was next to the.petrol station. I stayed on the August bank.hiday, unfortunately on the Friday evening we were woken by an alarm going off, this was due to someone smoking in their room. The incident terrified my children, when they finally managed to go back.to.sleep.after a while, I couldn't sleep and could hear the lorries going in and out of the petrol station. Another alarm went off at 4am, the problem is when th alarm.goes.off lots of lights also start flashing. Again, I had scared children, I then could not sleep. Overall, I had around 4 hours sleep. I did complain to the staff and was told that due to it b omg out of their control, i.e due to a guest that they couldn't refund us, but we could have a free breakfast. I had a wedding to go to and was knackered, luckily my children managed to get more sleep. On the second night, luckily we didn't have any more incidents and I didn't notice the petrol station that night. We all managed to sleep well, however I'm now out off staying in a premier inn again.

Great location as we were pickup at Manchester Airport the following day which would have been great had not a road been close with a long detour but nothing to do with the hotel. Clean and tidy room, efficient service in restaurant and for drinks prior to eating

The hotel was clean with friendly staff but my only complaint is that all the windows are permanently closed because of the air con. I found it a bit stifling. The car park gets full very quickly too because it isn’t exclusive to The Premier, anyone can uses it.
