With hundreds of stores and dozens of restaurants, Milton Keynes takes its shopping centres very seriously indeed!
At more than a kilometre long, The Centre: MK is not just the leading shopping centre in Milton Keynes, but also one of the UK’s biggest retail spaces.
Home to well over 200 stores and over 1,000 metres long, it starts with John Lewis at one end, and ends with M&S and House of Fraser at the other, with world-famous names like Joules, Ann Summers, Kurt Geiger, Pandora, TK Maxx, Waterstones and Disney in between.
The 14th-largest shopping centre in the UK, it’s bathed in natural light from the glass roof and is home to nearly 50 plant beds giving the centre a fresh look and feel. It also houses some impressive art, with sculptures, paintings and stained glass windows dotted throughout.
If you get hungry from all the shopping, there's plenty of restaurants to choose from including Jamie’s Italian, Carluccio's, Wagamama and Nandos and food on the go. The centre is open 9.30am–8pm Monday to Friday, 9am–7pm on Saturday and 10am–5pm on Sunday, with some restaurants open until 11pm.
Connected to The Centre: MK by a huge glass archway is intu Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes’ other top shopping centre. Built in 2000, it’s home to the town’s Apple store, along with H&M, Debenhams, Topshop, Zara, Hollister, Levi’s, The North Face, a Lego store and much, much more. There’s also a wide range of food and drink outlets, including Five Guys, Kokoro Sushi & Bento, and Fuel Juice Bar.
Lastly, Milton Keynes is also home to one of the best retail parks in the region. MK1 is right next to Stadium MK and has nearly 1,000 free parking spaces. You’ll find big high street fashion outlets, including Primark, Next, JD and M&S, as well as a row of popular restaurants including Nando’s, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo and TGI Fridays.
And, you can catch the latest Hollywood blockbuster before or after your shopping trip at the IMAX Odeon cinema.
