Bognor Regis has all the hallmarks of a classic seaside resort and then some. With historic piers, crazy golf and leafy parks, the town is home to plenty of traditional activities. Plus, there’s a state-of-the-art skatepark, several fascinating museums and the stunning 1,600km2 gorgeousness of the South Downs Park to explore.
Shopping
Running through the centre of Bognor Regis, London Road and the nearby High Street are two of the best shopping destinations in the area, home to a wide range of stores covering fashion, lifestyle, health and beauty and the outdoors. The pedestrianised London Road precinct is also a great place to people watch with a coffee in hand, including the excellent London Road Coffee Shop. The area also hosts the London Road market, usually held on the last Thursday of the month.
Getting Around
Around an hour’s journey by car or train from Bognor Regis, Gatwick is the nearest international airport. The UK’s second busiest airport, it flies to hundreds of destinations across the UK, Europe and the world each day, serviced by dozens of airlines including easyJet, Emirates, Norwegian Air Shuttle and British Airways.
