"Ricky is a top man"
What an amazing experience we had at this hotel, lovely clean rooms and the staff went above and beyond. A very special mention to Ricky who was amazing during our stay what a lovely man ! Also a mention for Debbie who helped us with our luggage as we were struggling with bags and a wheelchair at check in also so lovely and helpful at breakfast Thanks again to all the staff .
"Great business stay"
This is a really modern Premier Inn, I was pleasantly surprised! At check in, the woman was very informative and friendly, asking if I’d stayed before and went into detail about the hotel layout, breakfast etc! I was in room 311, the room was incredibly clean and surprisingly modern. I was really shocked by how well the room was organised. There was a vanity mirror with a plug in hairdryer, a very comfortable bed and spare pillows, the bathroom was modern and the room had working air conditioning. The bar area is big enough and it is where they serve meals and breakfast. The two women serving the night of our stay were again, friendly and helpful! Breakfast is only a small offering but it’s enough of what you’d want. A cooked option offering full English type food and then a continental.
"Great stay"
Really clean and modern premier inn. The room was well furnished with their new design and the staff were all really helpful. The breakfast was great.
"Great Stay in Town Centre"
Great hotel, premier plus rooms large and have everything required for aq short stay. Comfy beds, breakfast plenty of choice.
"Easy to park, central to Solihull town centre"
We were here (and to Birmingham) for a nostalgic trip as we'd not been back for 22 years! I used to work at the police station as a civvy in Solihull and saw Touchwood being built (actually was allowed inside the construction area when it was just organised rubble and scaffolding), and it had been up and running for about 2 years when I left. It's still in mint condition given its now about 25 years old, so that's great 👍. The rest of Solihull has changed dramatically; it was a shock to me 😅. But I digress. The Premier was really nice, all staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, and cooked great. Dinner was nice but we only ate there once as unfortunately with most chains, it's "samey" with little variation over time, so we then ate out. Loads and loads of different eateries within literal yards of the Premier, completely spoiled for choice; you won't go hungry. Some are very expensive (like the Thai restaurant), others not so much. We went to the Flute & Flagon I think it was, a pub, and the food was delicious 🤤 and very reasonably priced. Back to the Premier after where the TV was huge and loads of free channels to choose from, before retiring to bed which was very comfy, bigger than ours, lol, and pillows really floofy. The aircon was simple to work and worked well. The bathroom had 2 lights - normal white, and a purple one, which I used as a nightlight as the blackout curtains are exceptionally efficient, you can't see your hand in front of your face 🤭, but leave a gap and the sun at stupid o'clock wakes you up. Speaking of being woken up, try and get an upstairs room - as the heifer above us woke us at about 8am if not earlier stomping around 😕. The car parking opposite is perfectly sited for the Premier, and we were able to buy our ticket by phone app for the 3 days we were there upon arrival, rather than having to remember to renew every 24hrs. It's a secure carpark, so I recommend that, too. If/when we come back to Solihull, I'd use this Premier Inn, and the same carpark. That's about it 👍.
