Make your visit to Greater Manchester that much better by staying at one of our hotels in Ashton-under-Lyne, or the surrounding area. A separate town in its own right and traditionally a part of Lancashire, Ashton-under-Lyne now connects with the sprawl of Manchester, and is an important area of Greater Manchester thanks to its industrial heritage.

Ashton-under-Lyne still bears the hallmarks of its Victorian heyday. The Portland Basin warehouse, a former meeting place of several canalways, now provides the venue for an impressive museum. Ashton-under-Lyne's town hall, which dates to 1840 and features a distinctive classical look, is a Grade II listed building.
The town also has several impressive public parks, which themselves include a boating lake and a conservatory. Memorial Gardens, a park in the city, commemorates the sacrifice of soldiers from Ashton under Lyne in World War I and II.
