The former royal residence of Eltham Palace is one of the most visited sites in the area and a great place for tourists to start their holiday in Greenwich. The palace was gifted to Edward II in 1305, with its grounds and rooms now open to Eltham locals and tourists. Popular features include its impressive Great Hall and Art Deco interiors.
The O2 in Greenwich is another popular attraction. The site contains not only the second largest indoor arena in the country, but exhibition spaces, a cinema and a variety of bars and restaurants.
Visitors staying at an Eltham hotel can also visit the nearby Royal Artillery Museum during their holiday. Through a series of interactive displays and restored weaponry the museum outlines the history of the Royal Regiment of Artillery and the Royal Arsenal.
