History of Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace traces its origins back to a house owned by the Duke of Buckingham, though its prominence for the royal family came under the reign of Queen Victoria. The monarchs following Queen Victoria have kept Buckingham Palace the primary residence of the royal family.
