Hotels near the Peak District

The Peak District is a place where wallabies once roamed freely. It’s where you’ll find Chesterfield with its crooked spire, and it’s the home of the delicious Bakewell tart. You might also be surprised to learn that there are no peaks here, only hills. With its rugged landscapes, towns and villages fit for a period drama and endless quirks, a visit to the Peak District is unforgettable. Whether you’re after a fun family holiday or action-packed weekend, stay at one of our Peak District hotels and we bet you’ll be back for more.

What to do in the Peak District

Bring a bottle
Take an empty bottle to St Anne’s Well in Buxton and help yourself to fresh spring water. Flowing from a geothermal spring some five thousand feet below the ground and filtered through limestone, the crisp clean taste of this h2o is one to savour.

Visit Chatsworth House
Now’s your chance to see Chatsworth House in all its glory. The spectacular gardens are a must for anyone with green fingers, the fountains and water-features will leave you aghast and the North Sketch Gallery is a celebration of ceramics and modern art.

Get your kicks at Alton Towers
There are plenty of rides and attractions for the faint of heart and younger ones too. Alton Towers is a family theme park after all.
