"Very dated, but did the job"
Stayed here because it was in a great location for a wedding we were attending at Capesthorne Hall. Although the on-site restaurant was closed during our stay, The Flower Pot pub nearby was excellent and only around a 15-minute walk away, with a really nice pub garden.
The staff throughout our stay were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, which definitely made a positive difference.
The hotel itself and the rooms are quite dated and there’s no air conditioning, although it did the job for a short stay. Unfortunately the fan in our room wasn’t working, and because temperatures were over 20°C during our visit, it became quite warm. Opening the windows wasn’t ideal either as the outside area was covered in heavy pollen — obviously not the hotel’s fault, but something that affected our comfort during the stay.
The hallways also had a constant smell of stale cigarettes/marijuana, which I suspect is more down to the age of the building and carpets than anything else.
Overall, a convenient location with genuinely lovely staff, but the hotel could definitely benefit from some updating and maintenance improvements.

"Booked a Quad room - got given a basic"
Booked a quad room on March 29th for May 15th. Turned up and was informed my room had been given out to someone else and they only had a basic room to put me in. The room I booked and paid for also included breakfast. However the breakfast was also closed/ not available. I expect Premier Inn to refund me in full at the very least.

"Not our usual Premier Inn experience"
Stayed for 1 night prior to an early appointment locally the next day. We use Premier Inn as the standards are generally very good. Not so on this occasion unfortunately.
Room looked very tired and shabby. Dirty marks on walls, chipped paintwork and carpet looked grubby. The windowsill was covered in bits of leaves and dust and was filthy. The leaves may have been due to window being left open?
The bathroom was tiny, hardly any room to move. Sealant around the shower was mouldy and the water pressure and temperature control was rubbish. Dirt and dust in the corners of the bathroom.
No drinking glasses in the room, only mugs.
The car park outside our room seemed to be a gathering point for a group on motorbikes who were racing round, revving loudly in the early evening.
Disappointed as this was not our usual experience of Premier Inn.

"Very pleasant and welcoming stay"
Me and my son stayed for the weekend, whilst visiting friends in the area. The room was lovely and very clean.
The receptionist Tash was very helpful and welcoming! She was also friendly towards my young son which helped make my visit really comfortable specially as a sole woman travelling with a young child on my own.
Would highly recommend and will look forward to coming back in the future.
