"Disappointing"
We visit Leek every year for Scooter Fest and the Premier Inn has always been our first choice. Sadly on this occasion our experience fell short of what we are used to and we'll probably look for somewhere else to stay next year.
The website advertises that all rooms have air-conditioning, this seems to be incorrect. Our room didn't have air-conditioning, just a dusty fan on the desk. We mentioned it to the staff, and they informed us that the air-conditioning hasn't worked for awhile. I really don't think the hotel should be advertising a facility that they can't provide. The room was so hot and we couldn't even open the window.
What really disappointed us was the restaurant being closed on the Saturday night. We had travelled along way, and were looking forward to having the meal deal as previous years. On this occasion we were told that the restaurant was closed due to a problem with the fridges. I'm pretty certain that this was juat a poor excuse as strangely this didn't affect breakfast the following morning. As lovely as the cooked breakfast looked, we just didn't want to risk it.
Rooms are looking tired now and need some TLC. We assumed it's one of the hoteld earmarked for closure, as there seemed to be a lack of investment or interest.
For what we paid, no air-conditioning, no restaurant or bar and tired room was disappointing, such a shame as we've always looked forward to our stay in Leek. I really wish we'd taken note of the recent reviews and stayed elsewhere.

"Gobsmacked"
First job, open window to get some fresh air into stale and stuffy room. Window mechanism broken. Asked manager for different room as window broken. Don’t like being lied to when told “ all rooms are the same. Premier inn policy. Hotel built this way” I don’t think so. You can see the catches are removed but restricted opening stickers still remain on the glass. Minimum temp is set at 19 degrees so can’t possibly have a decent night’s sleep. Even the corridors are stuffy but they smelt better than our room.
On arrival we overheard that the chiller units were broken so no evening meal if you wanted a meat based dinner. ( might be some steak?? ) No thanks. Walked to nearest restaurant. Excellent food. Premier Inn should revisit the ridiculous health and safety policy and reintroduce restricted window opening just to allow fresh air into the room. Apparently the ground floor rooms are the same.!!!??? Fall out of that window and the only damage would be one’s pride.

"Best premiere inn"
Best premiere inn I've stayed in.
Great staff, great breakfast. Very clean. Only downside was the parking discount...a little poor.

"Weekend night stop"
The AC was not working.... I think everyone along our corridor had to wedge their door open so to exchange the stifling hot air in the rooms..
We had a fan from reception but this just moved the hot air around.. I did report this to reception but they said there was nothing they could do..
Having spent the last 7 years staying weekly (3-4 nights) in Premier in rooms through work up and down the country, i can say this was my worst night in a premier and i will not use that one again!
Unless its about -10 outside.. then you should be about comfortable.

"Don't book an evening meal"
Awful evening meal. I got the feeling evening the staff were surprised we was eating there. Im sure it wasn't a proper cook. The food was late, some items missing and the curry was watered down. We refused to eat the meal.
