Matlock hotel

The location of this Premier Inn is very good, 10 minutes comfortable walk into Matlock. Car park is free, plenty of room for all.Our room was typical Premier Inn, comfy bed as always.I feel the rooms are in need of a coat of paint and a freshen up. Windows can’t be opened leaving a musty/fusty smell on entry to room. Cleaning also left a lot to be desired if looking closely…dust, cobwebs noticeable.We did sleep well as it was very quiet. We had received an offer of inclusive breakfast during our stay which I have to say was very good! Good selection of hot food and fruit,yogurt and croissants,and unlimited tea and coffee.Staff manning the restaurant appeared happy in their work, chatting to us as they went about their jobs! All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return. Thank you Premier Inn Matlock!

2 night stay here and no issues at all. Really lovely lad helped me check in (Wednesday 10th June around 3pm) so friendly, explained everything to me and incredibly helpful. Room was perfect, very clean, everything you needed and super comfy nights sleep. Breakfast was fine, everything you needed and being replenished very quickly. Staff are happy, lovely gentleman on Thursday morning who was so happy and checking everyone was good and had what they needed. Really lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff and I would recommend and stay here again when visiting my family who live local. Matlock is a beautiful place and you are very central to town and all amenities should you need.

The room was clean and comfortable, although I would have liked to have been able to open the window rather than having air conditioning. The staff were all very helpful and friendly . We had a large group of 16 eating the evening meal on Friday night and we were able to book a table together and order our meals in advance by email. Tammy was particularly helpful staying on well after her shift had ended to make sure we were well catered for. The dining area itself is a bit basic and cramped but the food itself was a good standard, both the evening meal and a good choice for breakfast. The check in experience should be improved as the check in screen itself was visible to everyone displaying details of name, address and emails and wasn't straight forward to use to get door keys.

Good access as on main road, walkable into Matlock or bus stop outside. Standard room, spacious, comfortable and clean. Bonus was having a bath and shower. Usual Premier Inn facilities in the room which is all you need. Downside was the windows don’t open so have to rely on air conditioning. Breakfast/dining room very pleasant and as breakfast spans a couple of hours there was always space as the staff cleared the tables promptly. It got very hot while we were there and the staff put out glasses and an iced water container on reception, very thoughtful. We would commend all staff that we came in contact with for being approachable, friendly and efficient. We are very happy with what Premier Inn has to offer and will happily book with them again.
