"A great experience"
I usually stay in Premier Inns as I find them very reliable. This was my first time staying in this one in Matlock. It did'nt disappoint. Check-in was quick and easy, my room, on the second floor, was exceptionally clean, quiet and as expected was very comfortable. I chose to have a full cooked breakfast every day and it was excellent.
I also booked several dinners in the hotel, all were excellent. The hotel team were all really friendly and helpful but I must give a shout out to Russell who was a star!

"The room was clean and comfortable, with friendly ,helpful staff, but the check in should be improved."
The room was clean and comfortable, although I would have liked to have been able to open the window rather than having air conditioning.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly . We had a large group of 16 eating the evening meal on Friday night and we were able to book a table together and order our meals in advance by email. Tammy was particularly helpful staying on well after her shift had ended to make sure we were well catered for. The dining area itself is a bit basic and cramped but the food itself was a good standard, both the evening meal and a good choice for breakfast.
The check in experience should be improved as the check in screen itself was visible to everyone displaying details of name, address and emails and wasn't straight forward to use to get door keys.

"Another good stay with Premier Inn. No frills but you know what you are getting"
Good access as on main road, walkable into Matlock or bus stop outside. Standard room, spacious, comfortable and clean. Bonus was having a bath and shower. Usual Premier Inn facilities in the room which is all you need. Downside was the windows don’t open so have to rely on air conditioning.
Breakfast/dining room very pleasant and as breakfast spans a couple of hours there was always space as the staff cleared the tables promptly. It got very hot while we were there and the staff put out glasses and an iced water container on reception, very thoughtful. We would commend all staff that we came in contact with for being approachable, friendly and efficient. We are very happy with what Premier Inn has to offer and will happily book with them again.

"Great experience"
The best part about the hotel is the staff, incredibly friendly and helpful, especially one member of staff called Callum who welcomed us and helped us to check in. The food is lovely and the accommodation is very nice and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

"A Decent Short Term Stay"
I booked a 2 night stay online with my wife online and decided to pay in arrival. (We chose not to have the meals as we always go out for food)
We arrived into Matlock Bath a little earlier than anticipated so decided to call the Premier Inn to ask about adding an early check in to our stay.
I attempted to call Premier Inn but this took me 4 attempts as nobody wss answering the telephone. I did eventually get through and spoke to a lovely gentleman who agreed that we could check in early and to make our way there straight away. In total, I paid £157 for a 2 night stay. Yes, it's a little on the expensive side but it's in a fantastic location and only 5 minutes outside of town.
If you don't drive, there is a bus stop outside of Premier Inn. You will need the Sixes or the Trans Peak service either to Matlock or you can go the other way to Bakewell
Upon arrival, I asked reception for a fan (I have a medical condition which requires me to stay cool, particularly at night) as we find the rooms are always quite warm there. I was told that they don't provide fans. I was puzzled by this as they have provided one on my previous stays.
We went up to our room and put the air conditioning on (it was working but not kicking out much cold air). We went out and left it to do it's thing. On our return, we walked into our room and it was like an oven. We went to reception and the lady on reception said it was 25 degrees in our room and that air con is programmed to go off after a short while. I think this needs to be changed. It was way way too uncomfortable in our room. I have to have cold air around me all the time due to my medical condition The lady did play about with the air con settings for our room and after an hour or so, our room finally cooled down.
We stayed in room 201 which was not ideal as it's the room right by the exit/entrance door to the corridor so every time a guest was arriving/leaving, the door would bang hard and our room would literally shake. This went on until around 3am and actually did wake us on occasions
We also found that the phone signal and wifi signal in room 201 isn't great either.
The best thing about the stay is the bed, it is super comfortable and if you are put into a quiet room, you will sleep so well
Tea and coffee is provided in the room, some rooms have a bath and shower, some just a shower. There is lift access to the upper floors if you struggle with stairs
Despite our issues, we still enjoyed our stay and It won't prevent us from staying again. We visited Crich Tramway Museum and Matlock Farm Park during our stay which i highly recommend.
We have had some amazing stays here previously. This most recent one had it's issues but we will be looking forward to staying again in the future
