Mansfield hotel

Spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, friendly receptionist, loads of parking. Queue for timed breakfast rather long.

Room was very comfy and the staff were lovely on reception. The evening meal was very good but breakfast buffet was very poor as the food was not hot and nothing done when we complained, so spoilt our stay really.

Our first stay here and we were quite impressed. We had a ground floor room which was very comfortable and quiet. Everyone in the Premier Inn was very welcoming and friendly as were the people in The Brewers Fayre next door where we enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning

The lady on the front desk is lovely and welcoming, very helpful. Our room on the ground floor was very tired and although the surfaces had been cleaned and the bed made with fresh, clean linen, the rest of the room was a bit grotty round the edges and in the bathroom. The carpet edges were dirty and the floor in the bathroom was stained with ingrained dirt. When we arrived, weirdly, the hinges on the bathroom door had piles of wood shavings on them which I cleaned off myself, but but had scattered over the floor. The bath had handles which were harbouring mould and overall, it was just in need of a really deep clean. The fan provided was next to useless, I don’t know how it could make so much noise and be completely ineffectual. As the window only opened a fraction, I can imagine it would be very warm in the hot weather as there’s no air conditioning.

We stayed for a couple of nights while visiting family in the area. The room was clean and relatively quiet considering it is quite close to the M1. The bed was comfortable and there was a fan to help with the heatwave outside. Nice bath and shower. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Ticked all the boxes, but could have done with a mini-fridge in the room.
