London Putney Bridge hotel

Good location very close to tube station .Unfriendly staff. Overly expensive for what was on offer. Uncomfortable beds esp pillows. Didn’t get to try breakfast.

I stayed in the hotel for work and was unfortunately quite sick so spent most of my time in the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and in a quiet location so I was able to rest up and relax. Even though I was sick there was such a wide variety at breakfast that I was able to have something plain to help me feel a bit better also. However on top of this I was so sick that when I left I left my passport behind. The housekeeper Elina immediately handed this in to reception where it was kept in the safe for me and when I rang they let me know it was there. When I went to retrieve it, reception staff Ashley and Irfan were extremely helpful and made us laugh so much even in a not ideal situation. They let me know they had wanted to contact me as soon as the passport was found but had no contact details on the passport which really meant a lot to me too. Thank you so much to those 3 staff in particular and for all the lovely staff who made my stay so comfortable despite being sick and looking after my passport for me.

We really like Premier inn hotels but unfortunately this hotel is the worst we've visited. The hotel is very dated inside and out, dirty carpets, black mould but this wasn't our main issue. It's advertised that air conditioning is available but it doesn't work. We booked 4 rooms, one had working air conditioning and the other 3 rooms didn't work. We notified reception who confirmed the air conditioning doesn't work in most rooms. Our rooms were unbearable hot. We had food in the restaurant, after ordering our food we waited an hour.. and the restaurant was empty apart from one other family. The area is nice, close to the tube. I wouldn't stay here again especially in summer.

Really disappointing stay. We booked 4 rooms. Location is great. But the building looks shabby and out of place. We arrived and a heatwave started. We weren't worried because the hotel advertised AC. We also requested rooms on the same floor. They assured us they were on the same floor and them provided us keys across 3 floors. One of the lifts did not work. The AC didn't work in 3/4 of the rooms. Instead they put fans in the room which were ineffective. We ask move from the 3rd floor because the room was unbearably hot. Initially the guy on reception simply said "I don't know what to do. We don't have another triple room". Why advertise AC if it doesn't work. And the staff said they know it doesn't work in most of the rooms. I have worked in Premier inn. My mother also works in Premier Inn. Upon an issue like this you would request 5 minutes to make up an extra bed! It's called customer service. My sister had a travel cot provided for her baby and the board underneath was broken. Absolutely shocking. We had food in the restaurant and our food took over an hour to come. There was only one other table a part from us. Wetherspoons is across the bridge and breakfast is cheaper and better quality there. The corridors are filthy. The decor is old. Things are broken and the rooms look tatty. The staff have given up. There's no pride there. It's run so poorly. Whitbread need to step in.

Only one towel despite two of staying. Stained carpets in the room and the corridors. The was something that looked like.it.should have been in the toilet on the corridor carpet. Gross. Room too hot, the controls didn't do anything. I slipped getting out of the shower both times I used it. The room was in the underground level. Very disorientating and poor experience. The staff presented as very unmotivated. I had to leave early in the morning so couldn't get breakfast with them. I bought bits from a shop but there was no fridge so had to put them in the sink with a bag of ice from the shop. Very ugly and dated looking building outside and in. Noisy extractor fan in the bathroom which overrun for a long time when trying to sleep. The hotel smelt unclean throughout.
