London County Hall hotel

I’ve stayed in many Premier Inns over the years but County Hall was by far the best. We visited this hotel overnight, for my daughters 18th birthday. The hotel is in a great central location, with an array of bars and restaurants on the doorstep and within walking distance of Covent Garden. I booked 2 Premier Plus rooms, which were spacious, spotlessly clean and had a great view of Jubilee Gardens. We could even see the London Eye (just!) Cocktails in the bar in the evening were lovely and breakfast the next morning was great. A good selection of food and drink, which was all hot, fresh and constantly replenished. But what makes this hotel, is the staff. All very friendly and helpful, with no request too much trouble. A special mention though for Matthew on reception, who stayed long after his shift had finished, to ensure my daughter and her friend were happy with their room but the star of the show was Laura (assistant hotel manager) Her professionalism and kindness shone through with every interaction and her thoughtful touches made my daughters 18th birthday, a weekend to remember. A 10/10 stay at this lovely hotel, made extra special by the wonderful staff ⭐️

Stayed over for the Marathon. Clean. Superb location. Staff were absolutely brilliant nothing too much trouble, everything with a smile and then there was Fay at Breakfast. She made our day with her engaging happiness and helpfulness. Everything done in her stride yet she was everywhere helping people get their food and day started as best as could be achieved. I can't praise this place enough in comparison to other Premiers I have stayed in in the SW peninsula of late. It is also surrounded by good places to eat in the immediate streets if you want to step outside of the hotel. We will be returning for sure.

Location is fantastic, just around the corner from the busy Southbank & London Eye, the hotel was quiet. Staff very friendly & helpful. Hotel seems dated when you arrive at the reception area. There was self check in option with staff on hand to help. Room was large but dated. Bed really comfy. Bathroom had shower over bath whi h I felt was a dangerous slip hazard stepping over the bath. The bedroom was missing a dressing table space with a mirror. There was a dressing table but no mirror, the mirror was situated in an area with no seat & a tiny space to store make up hair products etc... There was a fan running all night from under or outside our room. This hotel is in the absolute best location, there are lots of bars, restaurants & cafes within walking distance or 15 uber ride into Central London

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn London County Hall and unfortunately, this visit was a real disappointment compared to my previous experiences. On past stays, I booked a standard room and found it comfortable and great value for money. This time, I decided to upgrade to a Premier Plus room, expecting a noticeable improvement. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. The bed was actually smaller than the one I’d had in a standard room before, which was surprising and inconvenient. Even more disappointing was the mattress itself — it was extremely uncomfortable, with noticeable lumps and bumps that made it very difficult to get a proper night’s sleep. This was especially problematic as my partner has ongoing spinal issues and is currently awaiting surgery. Because of the poor mattress and reduced bed size, he had a very uncomfortable night, which has since worsened his pain. We weren’t able to find a staff member at checkout to raise this at the time, but overall, the experience fell well below expectations — particularly given the extra cost of upgrading. Based on this stay, I wouldn’t consider the Premier Plus room to be worth the additional expense, which is disappointing given how positive my previous visits have been.
