Manchester (Handforth) hotel

Simple but great hotel, got everything you need for a few nights. I stayed for a night before travelling to the airport, it was close to a train station (only a 5 minute walk) which was convenient for me. Everything was clean and the bed was neat and the staff was friendly, had a bathtub and a big fan which was useful in this heat. Right next to a restaurant and close to a street full of restaurants and shops. I got lucky and booked the room when it was cheap so overall very happy with the value. There wasn't much noise because it's a very small hotel with only 2 floors and they have curtains which do create a blackout at night which was so useful because I cannot sleep with a single strip of light showing. Atmosphere is what you'd expect from a standard premier inn and the only amenities was some tea and coffee and an extra 2 soft pillows. Overall it was all I needed before an early morning in the airport so it was great, would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cheap short stay.

Lovely place to stay, a little dated but so clean. Tom was really helpful and pleasant. Free parking. Blackout blinds a bonus, had an extremely comfortable night sleep even with no air conditioning but the fan sufficed in 27 degree heat. The Bulls Head next door did amazing food with lots of choice. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, which made for a relaxing stay. While some areas felt a little dated, everything was well maintained and functional overall.

Had a fantastic stay at Premier Inn Handforth! From the moment we arrived, Tom made us feel incredibly welcome. He checked us in quickly and professionally, and went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service throughout. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive. He really made a difference to our experience. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Thanks again to Tom and the team for such a great stay. Highly recommend!

The rooms and the service at the Premier Inn are good. No problems there. The place is well located, with a sizeable car park. However, the pub next door, The Bulls Head, which is meant to open at 9am at weekends for breakfast, often doesn’t open, leaving the hotel guests high and dry. Which is really bad. I’m here to visit my elderly mother in hospital and honestly I think it is deceitful to infer this hotel is like all the other Premier Inns, which provide breakfast. They will say Chef and Brewer is a separate business, but they are all owned by Whitbread. Premier Inns need to be clearer, more honest and they need to take more responsibility for their guests.
