"Fantastic"
Food lovely staff very helpful could do enough especially jade nd front staff cleanliness very clean would come again.
"Restaurant meals below standard/poor"
Media city Salford Manchester hotel location/room was good was clean and quiet price was average. No staffed check in anymore just a screen for DIY check in. Restaurant staff were helpful. We arrived on a friday evening in hotel restaurant for 7.30pm on ordering were informed there was no sirloin steak no pizza no fish and chips no chicken curry no smothered chicken no topping for seabass (there may have been more unavailable) made me think what did you have on your menu!! also no bottles of my 1st choice beer. I picked a vegan burger with chips and coleslaw - what a mistake, the burger was barely warm little taste and looked like it had been created by mixing a powder and water and made into a circular shape it was awful. Everyone knows what coleslaw looks like theirs can only be described as a pile of yellow gunge and tasted horrible. So this spoilt my evening. We stay in premier inns in various parts of the country this has been the worst restaurant meal and choice. Was the choice because it was Friday and they had ran out of everything so could only have what's left in the fridge? If people are only eating certain meals then just provide those meals and don't run out. I was very disappointed and this should not be acceptable come on media city get your act together you can provide far better than this.
"Ideal"
Ideal location for our needs. Car parking was easy in the multi story across the road. Staff were excellent , very friendly. Breakfast was good with a great selection. Our room was clean and as always the bed was just perfect,
"Fantastic"
Fantastic breakfast as usual, chloe and the team very friendly and welcoming first thing in the morning , and breakfast was spot on massive fan of the sausage.
"Spot on!"
I will start by saying that this is a Premier Inn, so you know what you are getting from the very beginning, which is why I try to book PI when I go away as I know I will have a decent sleep in a comfy bed and an excellent breakfast the next morning. This Premier Inn was very easy to find, it was a very short walk from Media City tram stop, which was itself a very smooth journey from Manchester Piccadilly station. On this occasion, we had paid a little extra for a Premier Plus room, it was only £10 more than the standard room at the time of booking and it was more than worth it. Check in was nice and easy and the staff member was incredibly helpful, showing us how to activate a second key card for the room. Navigating to our room was also a very simple process (you have to use your key card to get through to the lifts and then again to use the lift, which is excellent security). The Premier Plus room was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, it was roomy, well decorated and had a fridge, iron and ironing board, Nespresso machine and a glorious rainfall shower. The room was spotlessly clean with no faults. We were very excited to see that we had a view that peeked a little onto "The Cobbles" (Coronation Street) as this was the reason for our visit. There is a Co-op a very short walk around the corner from the hotel, which proved very useful and is excellent placement. As always in a Premier Inn, we enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. We also booked breakfast for the next morning to set us up for our day out (I always recommend booking a PI breakfast). We were very impressed with the options available at breakfast, which has something for everyone and suits all dietary requirements. The very lovely, friendly and warm Lizzie ensured we were given the allergen menu (one of us is coeliac) and quickly ordered a plate of "vegan bacon" for us on request. The restaurant was smaller than the one at the last Premier Inn we were in, but we actually preferred this as it felt more intimate but didn't impact on the choice available, which was great! Unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken at breakfast, but there was still instant coffee and tea bags available to make a hot drink and this absolutely does not impact my review at all, as this is something that cannot be helped and we had a Nespresso machine in our room for a proper coffee anyway! Checkout was swift and straightforward, again, as we would expect from Premier Inn. We will definitely be returning when we visit Manchester again and really hope that we see Lizzie next time, as she was outstanding!
