"Very Enjoyable Stay"
Very enjoyable night's stay. Room very comfortable (great given the hot temperatures). Staff are always helpful - lovely lady on reception when we arrived and great service from the breakfast team in the pub - thanks to Eva, Nick and Pete.
"Travel stay"
The rooms are clean, very helpful and friendly housekeeping staff. Lovely location with view across the quay. The tables in the beefeater could do with a clean ( in between users) The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a fairly standard quality for a premier inn. I just wish other people would move around their rooms and the corridors quietly. I was woken by shouting and door slamming at around 10pm (this was a Tuesday night) and again by someone in the room above, with concrete shoes doing river dance at 7am.
"Poor 11am check in procedure."
Awful experience. Arrived to get to a game early so paid for early check in at 11am. Room wasn’t ready for us and a few others till 11:30am. Sounds trivial but this cut sort the match day expedience before the game. Asked for a refund. Was told 11am can’t be expected! False advertisement and paid extra for it. Just be careful if you plan to use as this ruined our weekend. They don’t check people out till 12pm.
"Budget stay"
Average room with below average breakfast. Aircon struggled to lower the 20 degrees temperature. Breakfast non buffet, small portions and no interest in asking if satisfied
"Nice Steaks, good value on the current offer"
Visited for lunch to celebrate our son's 30th Birthday as he'd seen the offer for 40% off mains on Saturdays. We had booked a couple of days earlier thinking it would be busy but it was very quiet considering the deal. Between the three of us we chose Gammon, Rump Steak and the Steak Sampler. All nicely presented although a bit stingy on the chips and fries. Steaks were nicely cooked, rump slightly chewy. Sauces were peppercorn and Diane and were delicious. Service was very friendly although clearly been told to upsell more drinks, we must have been asked five or six times. The place is in a good location but looks a bit tired inside, especially the restaurant upstairs which looks very corporate and uninspiring compared to competitors
