Manchester Salford Quays hotel

We booked this particular Premier Inn as it had Premier Plus rooms overlooking the Quays and was within easy walking distance of where we had planned to visit in the area. There was also plenty of onsite parking though this is not free. Our room was nice and clean and looked out onto the Quays though there was permanent condensation inside the lower window which obscured the view. It was very hot during our stay and the air conditioning made all the right noises but did not seem to be blowing out any cool air. Because of this we left the window open during the night but it was a bit noisy on the pathway outside from people walking past and a particularly angry drunk on the Saturday night. We were just pleased that we weren't on the receiving end! Breakfast was nice and filling with hot items cooked to order which set us up for the day. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful particularly in the restaurant.

It is what it is which is to say tired. Decent enough room but thin towels and ok ish bed. I am an aged old thing who found the shower over bath a bit of an antique feature in a world of walk in Breakfast wwas ok again but the croissants were a little tired. That said the bean to cup coffee was exceptional

Fab location and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Room was comfortable, bathrooms could be doing with getting updated and water could be hotter for shower. There is onsite parking and this is chargeable. Would expect free parking for hotel guests.

The hotel was good. Comfy beds, just like one expects from Premier Inn, and the shower pressure was amazing. (We stayed in 104). Cleanliness was as expected. My personal feeling is that I'd prefer toilet rolls to a toilet paper dispenser. Was also a little disappointed that we asked for our room to be remade halfway through our stay and the bedsheets were not changed over. Maybe we needed to be more specific. The restaurant attached to the hotel was not what I'd expect of a Premier Inn. Although the food was great and the service was good (shout-out to the German guy!) the cleanliness and general standards were sub-par. Extremely sticky tables, not been dusted for months, smudged fingerprints on windows and doors, sauce bottles sticky and nearly empty on tables, general cleanliness in the breakfast section was ust not up to standard. We enjoyed our stay overall, however, and would recommend it for others. Parking was £40 for 5 nights, perfectly located next to a bus stop for heading into Manchester.
