"I got the impression the staff hear lots of complaints here"
When you get to the point of feeling like a nuisance because the rooms are poorly maintained..... Our first room had a problem with the sink. The plug was stuck and the water couldn't drain. The receptionist went to fix it and said it needs bashing with a key. The fix was short lived and we asked for another room . We were then give room 9.. it had the same problem. It also had a missing light bulb at the bedside. The reception staff couldn't give us a bulb, we had to vacate the room while the fitted a light bulb. The toilet in this room was constantly running and the cistern refilled noisily every 30 seconds. The man at reception said he was aware of this and we could stop the noise by pressing both cis

"Mislead, never again."
We booked this hotel about 6 weeks in advance having stayed previously.
On our last visit staff warned us about the possible closure of the restaurant in September.
We called before booking and were given assurance that restaurant would still be open in August.
We arrived Sunday evening after +200 mile drive to find they had pulled the plug on the restaurant early.
Night desk staff very apologetic but couldn't help or arrange refund, this must be done through Customer Service which closes at 6pm on Sunday.
We had choice to walk away and find new accommodation and dispute booking on Monday morning or accept we had been mislead by Premier Inn and check in.
Long story short, spoke with Customer Service who offered refund and rebook at much more expensive sites too far away for our needs or accept that we had been shafted by Premier Inn and make complaint after 12pm on day of departure.
I've stayed in Premier Inn 100s of time through work and with family.
This is 2nd time Premier Inn have done this where advertise with restaurant which isn't actually open.
In fact, as I'm writing this, you can still book your room tonight with Meal Deal offer but it's totally misleading, restaurant is closed and staff have moved on.
Never, ever again will I stay at Premier Inn. No better than Travelodge and that's a pretty low bar.

"Bad experience"
Very poor stay at this hotel, we had a four day stay there and on the 3rd day of being there we asked for clean towels and a change of bedding which was still not done after asking, we were using wet towels after every shower and the usb in the room did not work we were left two tbags and two coffee sachets for the whole of the stay! Considering we paid £416 pound for three nights this is a rip off…..

"Poor experience and not value for money"
Staying to watch commonwealth games and this wasn’t up to standard. Dark dingy room. No food available as restaurant closed early. No USB to charge phones. Bathroom dated, carpets old. Looked like an old travel lodge painted purple. What is happening to Premier inns

"Not up to Premier Inn's usual standards."
We stayed one night at this hotel yesterday. Initially, I was happy- we've stayed at Premier Inns from Thurso to Penzance, and they were all pretty much as per description, nothing dreadful or exceptional to warrant a review, but this hotel...
The night before we stayed, the hotel emailed us to ask, at 9.20pm, if we really wanted an accessible room, as we'd booked months before; that should have given us an inkling of what awaited.
The security door was permanently open- that's the secure door that separates the accommodation from the general reception. We received a metal key, not the plastic card used at every other Premier Inn at which we've stayed.
The room was heated by a tiny heater. We adjusted the room temperature only to find it non- functional. For the bedroom and bathroom, it was just the small heater, in the corner by the window on the far wall from the bathroom. It was a cold night and a cold room. Too cold for me to shower. Not even a heated towel rail to help.
The toilet didn't fully flush- the main push button was permanently pushed in. The bathroom tap gave a light spray of water- enough to moisten the hands but not for a running flow.
We were going home and waited for home to complete our toilet.

Hotel description
Premier Inn Hotel Glasgow East Kilbride (Nerston Toll) is the perfect spot for footie at Hampden Park or Celtic Park as well as the city centre. There are great transport links into Glasgow, and some premier league business venues nearby too.
You won't be kicking about for things to do, with goal mouth action just up the road, and all the shops, entertainment and nightlife of Glasgow just a short journey away. If you're here in August, don't miss the World Pipe Band Championship. Then - when you think it's all over - come back to the hotel for some tasty food and a lovely comfy bed.
