"Well-placed for trips in the Glasgow area"
I chose this Premier Inn as a base for trips in the Glasgow area. It was close to the M74 and gave easy access to Stirling and Edinburgh, as one of the family wanted to see Scottish Castles. We also took a ferry across the Clyde to visit Benmore, one of the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens.
The rooms were tidy and clean, with the usual ensuite bathroom. The family group weren't in adjacent rooms, but that wasn't a problem, as we would gather together on the way out for trips or to the restaurant for meals.
Food was generally excellent, although we did find that the cooked breakfast on Spring Bank Holiday Sunday was a bit below par. This was down to staffing and was temporary, back to the usual excellent cooking and service on Monday. Evening meals were well up to standard and without fault.
There was a pageant taking place on the Saturday, which meant the place was buzzing during the day and the restaurant was quite busy in the evening.
We were lucky with the weather, which was dry and warm, while there was a heat-wave "down South" that would have made the local trips difficult.
This was my first long trip with an EV, so convenient charging points were important. Fortunately, there is an Arnold Clark dealership almost next door that has several high-speed chargers and a good price per kWh for booked sessions.

"Clean and fresh premier plus!"
Nice clean and fresh premier plus bedroom. The member of staff on the check in desk was very dour!
Bedroom was nice and clean. The plus rooms are a recent addition to the hotel so are still in good order. The hotel is a stones throw away from the motorway but I honestly never heard any traffic at all.

"Premier Inn Glasgow – Where Your Booking Is Just a Suggestion"
We arrived with three bookings, several hundred pounds’ worth of optimism, and the naive belief that when you ring a hotel to extend a stay, they might actually… do that.
Spoiler: they don’t.
The extension I’d arranged by phone had been lovingly preserved as a completely separate booking, meaning I got to pay for it twice. When I raised this with the manager — fully expecting the kind of goodwill gesture that takes approximately 30 seconds to action — I was met with the hospitality equivalent of a shrug. Postpone it to another date? Absolutely not. Acknowledge it was their error? Not a chance.
As for the rooms, I’m still puzzling over how these qualify as “Premier Plus.” Premier Plus what, exactly? Premier Plus tired carpets? Premier Plus décor from 2003? It’s a bold claim.
On the bright side, we’ve now discovered exactly which Premier Inn in Glasgow we’ll never be staying in again — which is useful information for regular visitors like ourselves.
Would not recommend. Would not return. Would, however, suggest the manager attends a customer service course. Premier Plus ones are available, presumably.
