"Great location for Glasgow night life, restaurants, bars and theatre's."
This hotel is located right in the heart of the city. Close to the bus station which is a 3 minute walk away, the train station is a 6 minute walk away. Sauchiehall street is literally just outside the front door. A clean, comfortable bed...room was quite newly refurbished.
"Fantastic hotel and location"
Fantastic location, a few minutes walk from the bus station. In the centre of Glasgow close to everything . So handy. Everything is on the door step. Really lovely hotel , really welcoming and friendly staff. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!
"Great location premier inn"
Great location for hotel so handy for being in the centre of Glasgow. We couldn’t check in till 3 but went by earlier to leave our luggage when we arrived which was done with no issue meant we could wander about the shops etc and come back later. Rooms are standard for premier inn always know to expect. Bed comfy and had a great sleep. Purple light in bathroom wasn’t sure what that was for but it was funky! It was very busy as a concert was on and the staff did their best to accommodate and get through all the queues at check in. I did hear them say to some people rooms weren’t ready at 3 when they were meant to be but we didn’t have an issue so not what the outcome was. Yes would stay here again simply for the location if nothing else and can’t fault a premier inn.
"Technically wheelchair accessible but awkward getting in and out of hotel."
I would not recommend this particular Premier Inn in Glasgow if you have a wheelchair or mobility aids. It’s technically do-able but it’s awkward. There are no ground floor rooms. There is a flight or around 8 or so stairs to access the hotel just inside the entrance. There is a wheelchair lift at the entrance but it means having to get into that lift - then when you get out - go to another lift to access the reception, check in then get back in the lift to your room. Once in the rooms, if you have requested an accessible rooms they’re always good. I wouldn’t recommend it to wheelchair users. Technically speaking it is accessible and do-able but you’ll have to get in and out of two lifts any time you go in or out the hotel. I had stayed in this hotel many times before being a wheelchair user, it’s in a great location but I stayed for the first time as a wheelchair user in December 2023, during which we had some difficulties with our stay. Most notably after we’d checked out, the lift failed while I was in it and a member of staff shouted at my husband when he tried switching it off and on again to reset it - then she kept shouting at him while I was stuck in the lift. Then once I was out she shouted at me. Not great. Hopefully that member of staff has received some training in customer care since. I complained at the time and the manager apologised. I also contacted their head office but have yet to receive a reply from them. Hopefully the lift has been replaced as planned since.
"Early Check in Not Available"
Comfortable and clean room. Paid for early check in - no rooms available. Then had issues claiming our bags when we came back late at night and tired wanting to check in. Had to kick up a fuss to get a refund of the early check in fee.
