"Exceptional Stay with Noel and Monika's Charm – 11/10!"
Stayed at Premier Inn and had an exceptional experience! Noel at reception was incredibly helpful, arranging an early check-in with ease and welcoming us with genuine warmth. His professionalism set the tone for a fantastic stay. In the restaurant, Monika’s Polish charm and attentiveness were outstanding—she catered to our every need with a smile, making dining a delight. Everything was spot-on, from the clean rooms to the impeccable service. Couldn’t ask for more—11/10!
"Poor breakfast"
My only criticism was having booked breakfast for 2 people with an availability up to 10:30am many of the items were not available at 10:10am hence limited items.
"Well intended"
Whilst the hotel is situated in a central location and offers decent rates, it is let down by one thing, the staff, or rather lack of. There never seemed to be anyone at reception as they were either working in the kitchen or the bar. Whilst serving guests, you could visibly see the rush and pressure they were under. That being said, the service was ok. Rooms were clean and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. Dinner menu wasn’t very inspiring. Breakfast was ok but there was a lack of fresh fruits and pastries. Overall, not bad but as my schoolteacher always said, could do better.
"Not very good"
Not very good other than location. I Have issues with paying £10 to get into your room, the room is either ready or not - not it’s ready if you’re willing to pay an extra £10. Booking in took over 10 mins as the receptionist had made a mistake with someone’s booking and took time to correct it. The check in booths weren’t working properly and we couldn’t get it to print a key for the room so had to join the queue. Got booked in and went to our ( Premier Plus) room, room 1615) the room furniture was looking tired and the pleather furniture had lots of bits flaking off it. Went to log on wifi only to find we had no wifi ultra code, not in room info or on booking in receipt. Went back down 16 floors to reception only to be told I would get a code sent to my email within 30mins of checking in - I wasn’t told this when I checked in nor is that info available at reception or in your room !!!!! Eventually got a code but it didn’t work on any of my devices, it did work on my wife’s phone but reception was so bad it kept disconnecting. The room itself was very, very noisy with lifts going up and down all night, it was like sleeping next to an airport so no real sleep. Parking is close by so that’s pretty good . I have used this hotel a lot in the past but it’s gone downhill I feel so - Overall not very good.
"Buchanan Galleries Premier Inn"
On arrival at the hotel there was an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke which was drawn up through the lift shafts as high as the 8th floor where our room was. You then have to go up to the second floor to get to reception. On approaching the desk I explained I had a reservation and was met by a grunt from the guy on the desk and a finger pointing towards the self service check in machines. I asked for some help with this which was given grudgingly. That was the last interaction with staff on this trip. The room itself was what you would expect from a premier inn, clean and tidy and quiet. Not in a hurry to use this particular hotel again.
