"Premier staff"
Thankyou to Karen and her team for a great weekend we have been going to Glasgow for over 10 years now and always stay at southside but the new team there have been very accommodating and pleasant with us unlike previous members of staff !! Thanks to Willie for looking after the bar and Karen and her fabulous chef trying to feed us it was very much appreciated it see you again next year and we’ll try to book it earlier. From all in the CSFB comber Northern Ireland

"Do not bring a car here. They will fraudulently try and fine you despite paying for parking."
Do not stay in this hotel if you are driving. Despite paying for our parking as instructed by the staff in the hotel and proof of purchase of our parking we have been harassed intermitently now for the last three years by debt collectors for a false bill.

"Comfortable clean hotel close to city centre"
Room was very clean. Very well laid out to make best use of spce. Smooth checkin and check out as well as efficient parking arrangements and payment system. Coffee machine and pods were a great plus. Excellent location just outside city centre to park easily while just a short walk away from city centre. Very good value for money.

"Clean and comfy room, but could be better for the price!"
We recently stayed here for 2 nights, to visit the TRNSMT festival. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable.
We did not park or eat here, so cannot comment on that.
The rooms would benefit from air con, but I appreciate that's expensive to install. The fan in the bathroom was also very noisy. However, they could provide more sachets of coffee/tea etc. There was one sachet of coffee and one decaf provided. My coffee in the morning looked like dishwater!
We didn't find the receptionist particularly friendly upon arrival. When I booked the room, I couldn't see an option for early check-in. When I phoned the customer line, I was told the hotel do not offer it as standard but to contact the hotel to discuss. I did this and was told a note would be put on our booking and we would be able to check-in early if a room was available, but a case of wait and see. When we arrived 70 minutes earlier than check-in, the receptionist checked and confirmed we could check-in, but charged me £15. The £15 is what you pay online, to guarantee early check-in at 12pm I think. However, we were told it wasn't available for this hotel. We had arrived in Glasgow at 11.30am and hung about the town until an acceptable time to go to the hotel. I felt charging the full £15 was unfair and went against what I was advised!

"Pleasant 2-night stay"
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is well located for visiting family or having them visit the hotel. Even though we arrived by car, we chose not to take up the option of parking as the car park is run by Horizon Parking as there appear to have been incidents of people receiving debt collection letters even though they have legitimately paid. However, there is a 15-minute grace period if you are being dropped off at or collected from the hotel.
The staff we met were all very welcoming and friendly but there should be more of them as they appear to be expected to cover the reception and the restaurant which can impact on waiting times in both.
Our accessible room was spacious enough as was the bathroom but a walk-in shower with grab rails would have been preferable as it would have contained the water much better. The floor was a but slippery when wet.
