    "Lovely place"
    We stayed for a work trip last night (Thursday) and we had a lovely lady in reception who was super friendly and helpful. Then this morning we had another lady on checkout. She was blonde but I didn’t catch her name. She was lively and her kindness and friendliness really set me up for a good day. People don’t realise how such a small gesture can affect someone’s day in such a big way. Thank you for your kindness whilst we stayed with you.
    "Lovely Hotel"
    Good location, bit further away from amenities but nice and quiet. Clean room, Great staff, friendly atmosphere. Shame theres no breakfast but the bigger Premier inn down the road served us food so that was good.
    "Perfect for one night stay"
    The hotel was clean and tidy and perfect for a one night stay. The only issue encountered was the lack of an electrical point in the bath for a toothbrush charger. However this was easily remedied by reception who supplied us with a adaptor plug.
    "Dirty and shabby, very dissatisfied"
    Staff very nice and welcoming, hotel is shabby and in need of updating. Black mould on windows and in shower, bathroom skirting grubby. Shabby carpets. No air conditioning just a fan and you can only open the windows a couple of inches, no good in the summer. Overall needs a complete refurbishment both rooms and communal areas. I have a booking in a different area Premier Inn and are seriously considering cancelling my reservation. Nothing like the quality of hotel portrayed on TV. Extremely disappointed.
    "Premier Inn Southend Thorpe Bay - a great budget option"
    Great: - spacious, clean bedroom with fan provided - very comfortable beds - free car parking with plenty of spaces - really nice staff - as much tea and coffee as you want - bus stop outside the hotel - 30 minute walk from city centre - nice and quiet - Thorpe Bay beach just outside your door! - Toby Carvery right next door - they also do breakfast - corner shop about 10 minutes walk away - park with kids playground 10 minutes walk away Could be better: - lack of air-con - room was hot even with the fan going - no mini fridge - vending machine only had v limited options - no bottled water or water fountain Overall, we had a good stay!
