Braintree (A120) hotel

Have nightmares from staying here. I came here disabled, was put in a room by the stairs where I could hear everyone walking up and down throughout the day. They told me they only had 2 disabled rooms, so I had to go quite far down the corridor when I couldn't walk. The staff were rude to me, they told my family they felt threatened when I asked if the bath dirt could be looked at. As im a bigger man, I must of become some sort of threat. They also told my family that they were unsure how disabled I am as I can hold on to the walls walking down. Was there for 3 months unfortunately due to sickness, was completely ignored, banging outside the door all the time, lack of hot water, no Internet to get food and when I ordered food, I know its not their job to bring it to my door, but when I can't walk, those small things would of kept me going. Bad air circulation, lots of flys and an old build. There were 1 young lady and an African man that would be nice to me, other than that they would look away when I came across the front desk. Hope new management is put in place and could do for a rebuild

Stayed with children for a family event

This hotel was very conveniently situated for our needs. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good and as expected, having stayed at many Premier Inns before. The layout was good and the breakfast items well stocked. My only small criticism, although the room was reasonably clean, it really needs some refurbishment. The bathroom in particular was looking very tired, with lots of unpleasant looking marks. Generally though a pleasant overnight stay.

Had a great time stopping off at this premier inn max was amazing and helped me get situated after a grueling journey and Amanda helped me get my head on right when I eventually woke up

Adequate place to stay. Decor is tired and definitely not as sparkly as the other Premier Inn just over the roundabout— but we appreciated they’re doing their best!
