Slough is famous for being one of the UK’s major business hubs, home to the Slough Trading Estate. It’s a major centre for technology and logistics companies, with headquarters or offices for well-known firms. Slough is also known for the BBC series The Office, which was set in the town and brought it into the spotlight for many viewers.
Some of the nicest parts of Slough are Langley, Burnham and Cippenham. Langley has a village vibe with lots of green space, which makes it really popular. Burnham, just on the edge of town and close to Burnham Beeches, has a more scenic, countryside feel and Cippenham is great for families.
No, Slough does not count as part of London. It is a town in Berkshire, located about 20 miles west of central London. While it is not part of Greater London, Slough is well connected to the capital by road and rail, especially with the introduction of the Elizabeth Line, which provides a fast commute to London.

It’s also a great destination for shopping, with The Observatory and Queensmere shopping centres. Nature lovers might enjoy a visit to nearby Langley Park or Black Park.
There are lots of family-friendly activities in and around Slough. Absolutely Ice offers ice skating, while Jump In Trampoline Park is great for active children. Salt Hill Activity Centre includes bowling, go-karting and soft play areas. Outdoor options include Langley Park, which has a children's play area and walking trails and Black Park with Go Ape treetop adventures and a lake. Bed linen and towels - laundering all our linen and towels at over 60°C to thermally disinfect them, so you can enjoy a great night’s sleep. We’ve also placed spare pillows in a zip-up bag, for extra peace of mind.
Equipping our teams - providing our team members with all the equipment and sanitisers they need, as well as always operating in the safest way possible for our teams and guests.
A generous serving of safety - you can relax knowing that enhanced cleaning measures are in place throughout our restaurants. Tables are cleaned between visits and contactless payment is in place too, so you can dine safely and comfortably with us every time.
Clean on request - if you'd like your room cleaned during your stay with us, just let us know at reception and use the handy door hanger on the back of your door by 12pm each day.
Most Premier Inns have specially-adapted rooms allowing easier access for customers with disabilities. If there is no specially-adapted room available at the hotel of your choice, we will be happy to offer you alternative accommodation at a nearby Premier Inn. If you have difficulty walking, but do not need a specially-adapted room, please feel free to request a room near reception on the ground floor for easy access.
