Go Ape Bracknell is an outdoor adventure destination in the Swinley Forest. Perfect for thrill-seekers of all ages, it features everything from zip wires and Tarzan swings to tree-top rope courses. Whether you’re heading there with family, a group of friends or as part of a team-building day, Go Ape offers a memorable experience full of fun.  

The Lookout Discovery Centre is a great day out for families, especially those with young children. The centre is packed with over 90 hands-on science and nature activities that keep kids engaged and learning while having a great time. Little ones can splash in the indoor stream, role-play in the mini supermarket and enjoy the woodland-themed play zones. Older children will enjoy experimenting with interactive exhibits, puzzles and learning games. It’s also set in the middle of a lovely forest, perfect for a post-play picnic or nature walk. 

South Hill Park Arts Centre is known as the creative heart of Bracknell and a hub of culture and entertainment in Berkshire. The venue offers a packed calendar of events, including live theatre, music, dance, cinema screenings and art exhibitions. The beautiful Georgian manor setting, with lakeside grounds and a cafe, makes it a fantastic spot for a day out or a relaxed evening with friends.

Bracknell’s not by the sea, so you won’t find any beaches on the doorstep—but there are still some great options nearby if you fancy a day by the coast. Brighton is probably your best bet, about 70 miles away and easy to get to in under two hours by car or train. It’s got pebble beaches, a pier, quirky shops and loads of great places to eat. If you’re after something a bit quieter, West Wittering Beach or Bournemouth are also doable for a day trip.
