London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 hotel

The hotel is not particularly convenient for Heathrow Terminal 5, despite being advertised as a suitable option for airport access. Although a local bus service is available, the buses are not equipped to accommodate suitcases, and we were actually refused entry onto one bus. As a result, a taxi is the more practical option, with fares to the hotel ranging from £25 to £40. On arrival, we had to check in using the self-service facilities, and as we were already running late, this was not the most convenient start to our stay. The overall condition and cleanliness of the hotel were disappointing. The carpets throughout the lobby areas were visibly dirty and bubbling, giving a poor first impression. The bathroom in our room was old and dated, with a shower over the bath, mould around the shower screen, and grubby bath panels and surrounding areas. Despite booking a room for two people, only one large towel had been provided. We did not notice this until the following morning, by which time we were short of time and had an early flight to catch, leaving us unable to request an additional towel. We raised our concerns regarding the cleanliness with the member of staff on duty when checking out. Overall, this was far from Premier Inn at its best. The hotel felt tired, dated and poorly maintained, with cleanliness standards that fell below expectations. Its location is also less convenient for Terminal 5 than the advertising suggests, particularly given the difficulties with public transport and the cost of taxis. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable and convenient overnight stay before flying from Heathrow Terminal 5. I would suggest considering alternative accommodation.

A Premier Inn is a Premier Inn - we booked as we were flying from T5 early next morning so it was simply somewhere to stay with no real expectations. However, our experience out performed our expectations in every respect. The room was large, modern, and spotlessly cleaned (with a view over the runway as an added bonus - but with no noise problems at all!) we arrived an hour before check-in officially opened due to M1/M25 miraculously having no hold ups - but this was no problem - we were checked straight into room. Check-in machines were available which we used, and which issue your key for you - but staff were on hand and very friendly - to make sure we didn’t have to battle against the machine. We didn’t eat at the hotel at all but there is a McDonalds right next door, and Indian restaurant 5 minutes walk one way and a nice pub 10 mins walk the other way. This will be our ‘go-to’ hotel for future Heathrow departures - especially at the cost which was exceptionally cheap by comparison with other hotels in the area

Stayed here on Saturday 10th October as we flew in from Glasgow and off to Lyon on the Sunday morning. The hotel wasn’t great, dirty threadbare carpets, mould in the bathroom. Getting here from the actual Terminal isn’t easy. An Uber was quoting £40 and the 423 bus won’t accept many suitcases so we were told we had to ‘wait for the next one’ - at this time of the evening it was another 30 mins. Locals who I assumed worked at the airport just pushed in and the driver allowed them. I know this isn’t the hotels fault but it isn’t convenient for T5. Tip. Coming back to T5, for the bus, walk to the next stop along Bath Road so you have a better chance of getting on board.

Easy check-in, convenient location with bus stops directly outside 6 mins to T5. Tasty food and variety of options with some reasonably priced meal & drink options. Clean sizeable room & comfortable bed. Adequet additional facilities in the room. Polite helpful staff. Definitely better than Gatwick North Premier Inn.

Rooms spacious, hotel clean, check in quick, restaurant food good and staff very good. Overall i was pleasantly surprised
