Yes, parts of the Harry Potter films were filmed at Gloucester Cathedral. The cloisters were used as corridors in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in several of the early movies. If you're a fan of the films, walking through the cloisters is a real highlight – it's like stepping into the wizarding world.

Robinswood Hill Country Park, just outside the city centre, is perfect for more of a countryside feel and has excellent views from the top. If you’re after a waterside route, the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal offers a peaceful walking and cycling path that stretches for miles.

You can visit Gloucester Cathedral, explore the National Waterways Museum at the Docks, shop at Gloucester Quays outlet centre or check out one of the city's art galleries or independent shops. There's a vibrant food and drink scene with lots of pubs and restaurants to try, plus family-friendly attractions like the Jet Age Museum. If you’re visiting with kids, nearby attractions like Cattle Country Farm Park or the International Centre for Birds of Prey are well worth the short drive. 

Yes, Gloucester is very walkable. The city centre is compact, so you can easily get around on foot without needing public transport. The main sights like Gloucester Cathedral, the Quays, museums and shops are all within a short distance of each other. Even walking to the edge of the city, like Robinswood Hill or the canal paths, is doable if you’re up for a longer stroll.
