Gloucester (Quayside) hotel

Usual Premier Inn, staff friendly and room as expected and no complaints. However, we booked room on Tuesday 29th September 2026 for a three night stay from Wednesday 30th September 2026 at NO time did the website tell you the usual breakfast was NOT available. In fact we were invited to book breakfast with the room booking. Again when we checked in this was not mentioned. Yes, a complimentary croissant or pain au chocolate with fruit (if available) was offered but this wasn't really substantial. Poor show Premier Inn, must do better and inform potential guests. Luckily, a lovely Wetherspoons is within a 7 minute walk away and would highly recommend.

Hotel was great but Premier Inn customer service is lousy. Failed to honour the free breakfast promotion and didn't resolve my complaints - only solution was to offer an hotel three miles from my desired destination - when checking the Prem website that hotel wouldn't be doing breakfast either - an apple, prepacked croissant and a machine coffee at the hotel doesn't compensate for the Prem breakfast on offer at the hotel. All those who paid for their breakfast received refunds - those who booked through the promotion - Nothing !!!

We booked for 2 nights for a family funeral and booked the hotel with breakfast which we were promised the day before by email was still available even though renovations were underway. When we got there it was not until we asked later in the evening where breakfast was the next day that we were told there was no breakfast and we would be refunded. We had to find another place to have breakfast. Not very happy when it was already a stressful journey.

Had a great weekend stay for our annual cycling weekend. Special thanks to Hidi who checked us in and ensured we had a good stay, excellant value for money and nice people.

This hotel is a typical modern Premier Inn that benefits from being adjacent to Gloucester Quays shopping, and the many restaurants around the Gloucester Docks area, and in easy walking distance of the rest of the city centre. It is easy to reach by road from around the city, but it is quite a distance from the rail and bus stations. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and there is a reasonable amount of free car parking around the hotel. It is a great pity that at present, breakfast facilities are reduced to the provision of a complimentary croissant and coffee, following the closure of the adjacent Beefeater restaurant which used to provide the excellent Premier Inn breakfasts that have been an enjoyable feature of our stays at Premier Inn hotels in the past.
