    "Hotel Okay, Restaurant Dreadful"
The hotel itself was okay, you get what you pay for! The receptionist was very nice! We arrived quite late on a Sunday evening so booked a table for 6.30pm at the Beefeater next door! We paid £27.95 each for a 2 course evening meal with drink and incl breakfast! Great deal we thought! The restaurant is a disaster area, we were advised we would have a 45min wait for our food, fair enough even though it wasn't fully booked! However it turned out it was 45 mins before our order was taken and then a further 45mins before we got our food! 3 'chefs' in the kitchen were absolutely useless! We got our starters with our main meal (starters were a few frozen breaded mushrooms on a plate with a dip, not even a little garnish! The hotel is in a prime location with stunning views......get rid of Beefeater or at least its manager!
    "let downcby your booking system"
totally dissatisfied. I am a full time wheelchair user - paralysed at chest level. Therefor because of this I double check the online booking system when I book. I booked an accessible room with a wet room, I selected with a shower, a standard booking for 2 people. On arrival there was not an accessible room available - my wheelchair would not fit through the door to the bathroom. The bed was far too high for me to be able to use it. I asked the receptionist if any other room was available - she said there wasn't but did assign us a ground floor room . Therfor I was unable to use a toilet except for the the disabled toilet in the adjoining Brewersfayre pub. I was not able yo use the bed so had to stay in my wheelchair both nights. This meant I couldn't sleep, the anxiety to my wife and I was a lot as was the stress of my having to stay in my wheelchair. I have used your accessible rooms in many locations and never had a problem before . I ran the central booking team who confirmed on their system that I had booked an accessible room. Therefore I require nothing short of a full refund for our ruined stay,
    "Spanish City positioning perfect."
Perfect position on the sea front, staff all friendly and professional, would definitely stay again if and when in the area.
"Hotel great but one staff member needs customer care training"
Room clean and bed comfortable. Staff on arrival were very nice and attentive but the last nite the late nite staff member seemed to wanna go on the Internet and seemed argumentive.
"Food and drink leaves much to be desired."
Lovely hotel, great location. Friendly staff, comfort and cleanliness as you would expect from a Premier Inn. No complaints about the hotel itself. However, it doesn’t have its own restaurant, it partners with the Beefeater next door. MASSIVE MISTAKE. This place is dreadful. I’m not a fussy eater, neither am I naive about the type of food and service I’m likely to get from such a chain . Nevertheless, I’ve rarely had a meal that was utterly inedible (knives and fork wouldn’t cut it). Staff so thin on the ground there was no one to complain to. Place deserted at just after 9pm on a Saturday night. We went elsewhere for breakfast on Sunday. Please address this, Premier Inn. You have a lovely place to stay, but there are others in Whitley Bay and if you can’t address the food and drink issues, it will not go well.
