"Okay but needs some improvements"
Booked a premier plus room for one night with breakfast, upon arrival used the toilets and no water ? Was then informed hotel has no water should be back on by 3:30pm Annoying as we was hot and sticky after being out all day couldn’t use the shower or even the toilet to flush. About 4pm water came back not powerful for the shower but manageable. Air con in the room is a bit of a joke, lowest is 19c and kept switching off without warning. Having to get up constantly waking up sweating to turn it back on, I suspect they’ve turned air con mode off and put heat mode on. Little annoying to be fair. Especially for a new hotel it’s constantly having issues. Room wasn’t clean dust everywhere Mould in the fridge. Toilet paper is so thin it hurts! Great location, staff do try their best but it’s clear they are understaffed and the hotel is struggling. I’ll consider the Radisson next time or maybe something else, such a shame! Oh parking don’t bother just park in Monk Bar car park a ten minute walk away as there is NO spaces at this hotel and when you are parked up the bays are so small! Premier inn have gone down in my estimation now sorry but the price doesn’t reflect quality service anymore
"Overall good experience - Good except for the parking nightmare"
Clean room and great breakfast Parking a headache and too expensive. Too many electric charging points for battery cars - taking far too many spaces - not great!
"Poor inadequate staff and many"
It was mine and my husbands mini moon away, from start to finish the experience was a disaster and awful. I paid for two rooms, and the meal deal for altogether upfront. The check in experience was poor, no description of the hotel and what facilities they had to offer. No explanation of how to book for dinner or what they have as in recommendations. Myself, my husband and my nephew arrived at the hotel and was met by a trainee of a receptionist, whom might as well been on day 1. I booked rooms next to each other, I was informed they were actually at the other end of the corridor. I asked for something special to be done, and nothing was. Food on the Sunday night was late, well over 1 hr late, cold, lacking in taste and they said they had quite a few items off the menu. I wasn’t even able to charge by EV, as the charging company said the hotel has to lift the restrictions to be able to connect my car. Breakfast was the only thing that was tasty and fresh. Dinner on the Monday night was even just as poor and a shambles, dizzy manager running around, he even brought us another tables food. He was checking in on everyone to make sure things were correct. We had our first course, then waited 1hr for a dessert. The manager came back to tell us they hadn’t got one item in stock. Why it took that long I don’t know. We got up and walked out of the restaurant. The duty manager looked at me and said I’ll go get the food now. Check out on the last day was poor and lacking any sincerity and apologies. The person whom was checking our room out, didn’t even know I was going to complain. Now I’m in the process of writing a complaint to Guest Relations.
"Reliable and satisfactory."
You’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep in a quiet, decent size room with a decent television where everything is reliably clean. Excellent location, although finding a parking space in the hotel car park is not guaranteed. Overall good value for money and will stay there again on future visits.
"Parking misery"
Parking for this hotel is shockingly bad. Had to park in retail park down road. Not great after a long and stressful drive. Website says limited parking and that’s an understatement. Staff are nice but clearly overworked and not enough off them. Massive queues at reception to check in so even though I just needed a mug for the room had to wait in same queue as those checking in. Took an age. Will not be staying there again unless they sort out more parking.
