"The low cost is hardly a bargain, you get what you pay for"
The crumbling facade of the hotel looks awful. There are signs up saying they're working on it but judging by the reviews, it's been like that for some time. When I arrived there was no one on reception and the self-service machine was broken. The staff were nice without being exceptionally friendly. My room had a sea view but was very no thrills. Breakfast was fine and had everything you would expect, but there wasn't loads of choice. I asked for my room to be cleaned halfway through my stay but it wasn't, meaning the tiny little bin they provide was overflowing with rubbish. I think of Premier Inns as the "Wetherspoons" of hotels: cheap and you know exactly what you're getting. This is one of the worst Premier Inns I've stayed in though, so make of that what you will. The low cost can hardly be considered a bargain when you get exactly what you pay for. Still though, if you looking for low cost, low thrills and a nice view of the beach, this place will be just about "adequate" for your needs.
"Poor quality 5 day break"
We’ve just returned from a family trip to Premier Inn Exmouth sea front. Basically minimal staff created room cleaning issues, booking meals, getting a drink as they hadn’t had food deliveries. Staff incompetence which did put a dampener on our family get together. We complained to staff numerous times and company management was blamed.
"Nice hotel"
Nice hotel and the location is perfect on the sea front. The staff on the whole were nice but like other reviews there was one member of staff who was miserable and unhelpful, looked like she had been there too long. Breakfast really good, evening meal not great. Good stay, would stay again
"Good hotel…..few niggles"
So we have been visiting the Exmouth Premier Inn since it opened - not every year but probably every other. The good things are always constant. Location - doesn’t get any better. Staff - always friendly and helpful. Room - exactly as described and breakfast excellent. Couple of niggles. Staff - there are clearly not enough. Slow to check in and those on at breakfast are running around. Car parking - £8 per night. Seriously? I realise that they have a captive audience but it felt like extortion. Might want to re think that one. Will I go back? Of course!
"Pleased with our stay. We would book again"
After a glut of mixed reviews recently, we were pleasantly pleased with our recent 1 night stay. Our Premier Plus room was as expected. Clean and comfortable. Really nice to have a sea view to wake up to. Breakfast 10 out of 10. All items available, cooked was hot and kept topped up, staff clearing tables efficiently (they were fully booked so very busy). The location is superb. The building did look a bit tired but not enough to stop me from returning in the future. So great to have onsite parking at £8 which we found very reasonable for the convenience. We arrived at 2.40pm (20 minutes before check in). No visible staff to ask a question about car parking/registration/payment. Tracked down a member of staff who, when I politely said "excuse me, can I ask you a quick question please", physically sighed and just glared over the top of her glasses at me. Maybe she thought I was chasing check in (I wasn't!) but this wasn't a great first impression. Lost a star on this basis. We would return to this hotel in the future though.
