The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members has always been incredibly important to us. Everyone expects a clean and safe environment when visiting our hotels – and rightly so! COVID-19 really underlined the need for top hygiene standards, which is why we launched Premier Inn CleanProtect, our rigorous, daily cleaning regime that’s used throughout our UK & Ireland hotels. With this in mind, we’ve changed our check-in time to 3pm, just to make sure that we have enough time to deep clean our rooms and make them perfect for your stay.

Developed in partnership with Diversey, a global leading cleaning and hygiene product supplier for the healthcare and hospitality industries, our promise seeks to give you extra peace of mind so you can book and stay with confidence.

Here’s what we’re doing to keep you and our teams safe:

Checking-in and social distancing
Minimising contact at reception with protective screens, keeping social distancing measures in place and auto-dispense hand sanitiser is available in public areas.

Hygiene and anti-viral sanitising spray
More frequent cleaning of high-touch areas, such as check-in kiosks, lift controls, door handles and handrails with Diversey-approved disinfectants to the European standard of EN14476, effective against Coronavirus. In our bedrooms, we’re paying special attention to air conditioning and heating controls, TV remotes, door handles and desks.

Housekeeping
Unlike other hotel brands, we employ every single member of our 9,000 -strong housekeeping team directly, meaning we’re able to ensure they continue to have the highest standards in cleanliness and hygiene training to the Premier Inn CleanProtectTM promise. We’re also carrying out additional checks on rooms.

Bed linen and towels
Laundering all our linen and towels at over 60°C to thermally disinfect at high temperatures, so you can enjoy a safe and great night’s sleep. We’ve also placed spare pillows in an anti-tamper zip-up bag, for extra peace of mind. 

Protective equipment for our teams
Providing all our team members with protective equipment including gloves, aprons, face masks and hand sanitiser. We’re continuously updating our guidelines for our teams in-line with government advice, while empowering team members (where appropriate) with the choice to wear the protective equipment provided.

A generous serving of safety
You can relax knowing that enhanced cleaning regimes are in place throughout our restaurants. Every table is cleaned between visits, menus are sanitised after each use and contactless payment is in place, too, so you can dine safely and comfortably with us every time.
