"Old and tired hotel"

Very Tired building. Understaffed. In an annex, tired rooms, no lift, creaky old stairs, walls awful. Room was "average" bathroom old a d tired, bottom of door scraped floor as opening. Noisy fan. Only 1 towel for a fwin room. 2 tea cups with 4 .ilk a d 2 tea bags 2 coffee. nothing more. Cookhouse restaurant food was below average. Breakfast same and cold.

"Try somewhere else"

Used the Premier Inn for a stop gap for travelling from Devon to Paris. After a 6 hour drive ( stuck in lots of traffic ) we got to the Premier Inn around half 7 and check in . The staff member was very helpful so no problem there . We got to our room which was booked and described as a family room . It looked like a standard double room with a single bed and camp bed squeezed in together . The beds were very uncomfortable, especially the camp bed. It was like lying on a piece of ply board . The cleanliness was the worst part of the room , dust everywhere and the bathroom was rank . Smelt damp and there was still hair from the previous guest in the shower . We decided against showering before our departure. I understand it’s a cheaper hotel but this wasn’t a great experience. If we didn’t have to get up at 3am I would have complained but we had more important things to worry about . I will be booking different accommodation if we travel on the shuttle in the future .
