    "Lovely warm welcome"
What a lovely welcome from a young gentleman and lovely smiley girl at the reception desk! Room was lovely and clean on arrival and everything in the room that we would need. Only thing I would say is that there was only one toilet roll in the bathroom, having an extra one would of saved a trip to the reception to ask for one. Thanks for a lovely warm visit reception staff :)
"Standards are not what they were."
The breakfast cook can't do bacon. It shouldn't be simply tipped out of the pack onto a baking tray and then shoved in the oven; the rashers should be separated, because they are impossible to separate once cooked, without a great deal of bother, and only the outer rashers are browned and look appetising. Plastic fried eggs are not good. Don't cook so many at once. The handwash in the bathroom should not run out after two squirts, it should be checked daily and topped up as necessary. This rather suggests a "couldn't care less" attitude, which is not what we have experienced from Premier Inn over the years and is indicative of declining standards.
    "Newhaven"
We stayed here for 2 nights as a weekend getaway and see the Newhaven fort. This hotel was very clean and has a good carpark with cctv. on site brewers fayre for food and drink, also close to a Sainsburys. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout the stay. We would stay again
    "Poor ventilation"
Clean room very poor ventilation , room had no air conditioning system only relying on small fan could only open a gap on window, extremely warm room
"Pleasant surprise after avoiding due to previous negative experiences here."
Previously I had avoided this premier inn, preferring Lewes, however - pleasant surprise awaited Newhaven has had along overdue refurbishment and no longer has a stale smell, tatty decoration or looks tired and had its day. I slept well in a nice room. Bed was so comfortable and it was a lovely stay. I will happily return.
