"Ian, the Duty manager, was a star"
It was everything you expect from a Premier Inn, down to the extremely noisy guests from the Wedding at the Doubletree next door who were running up and down the corridors until five in the morning. Also, I am told, but I sleep like a log so I was not disturbed one bit. A particular shout out to Ian, the duty manager when we arrived on the Friday. He was working like a Trojan, dealing with the check-in machines which were all broken and a printer which was refusing to play, and a myriad of guests arriving and checking in. He was doing really well: helpful, cheerful, efficient – a credit to the hotel chain.
"“Tired hotel”"
I want to start the review by saying how friendly and helpful the staff are at this hotel. They are the saving grace . We have stayed at many Premier Inns and all have been good to exceptional depending on their age and location. This one is “tired” it needs a good decoration. Our bedroom 516 needed a good dust, cobwebs on light fittings , dirty window( on the outside) bugs on the lampshade . The whole place needs investment. The lift from the car park is out of order, the bar in the hotel is poorly stocked, very little choice of drinks. If you have mobility issues it’s quite away to walk and uphill to the main attractions in Harrogate . Personally I wont be returning .
"Average. Staff great, hotel interior looking very tired."
From the outside the hotel looks quite good, however inside, the decor and furnishings (including reception corridors and rooms) is extremely tired and shabby, with a lot of stains. The staff however were very polite, helpful and professional. I also feel that the car parking charge (£20 for 24hrs) is exessive
"Weekend Break"
Lovely stay at this Premier Inn. We booked a Premier Plus Room, and it didn’t disappoint — great views over the lawn of the Majestic Hotel, a comfortable bed, quiet and efficient air conditioning, plus a mini bar and tea/coffee facilities. Standard Premier Inn buffet breakfast was nice enough, plenty of hot and cold options. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great location, just a 5-minute walk to the town centre and Valley Gardens. Happy customers — thank you!
"Enjoyable stay"
Contrary to some recent bad reviews of this Premier Inn, our room was most acceptable and comfortable. All staff were pleasant and helpful and the food and service was very good. The staff work very hard but it's obvious they are understaffed as this seems to be the case in other Premier Inns we have stayed in.
